Is it wrong for me to assume that the only ally the black man has in this world are white women because they both share a unique experience in history, and the struggle for equality that no other races or groups experience. Please set me straight if I'm wrong.
I was about to say the indians also. We were TAKEN from our country and brought here. This WAS the Indian's country.
White women are still white, fully protected by the privileges that come with belonging to the category of white. I love picking on dumb people, but you take the cake.
Women in general have ahd struggles and still struggle to this day but black men have it worse off than they do now.
Dick Armey put in best when he made this statement: http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-09-03-armey_N.htm Armey: 'Bubba vote' to hurt Obama He's clearing referring to white women only.
Deception Interesting responses. I would like to thank my friend here with me who suggested to throw out a thread that will reveal who the true haters here on this site are whether they are insecured weak black men, black male haters, or female (probably black) impersonators as men. We tried this on another site as we were surprised by the hatred in turn. Apologize to those if you felt used. I will not try this again. Sorry Webmaster for the deception.
Unique Place In History??? Well, you've obviously taken it on the chin by other members, and probably rightfully so, therefore I'll be a bit more nice about it. But since you bring up history, then maybe you should do a little more research on how "history" has proven itself to be a very violent, and precarious time, filled with much turmoil, and calamity for the Black man, at the hands of White women. Once upon a time, a black man would be dragged to death just for glancing her way, or hanged for any number of reasons which would be "deemed" inapropriate behavior while in the presence of. It is also no secret that if a White woman ever screamed "rape", and if the accused was a Black man, truth, or not, then all hell would break loose, and any number of blacks would have to pay for such an accusation, not excluding women, and children, ever hear of Rosewood? So please do not insult anyone here, and say Black men, and White women have anything but a checkered past in American history. That's why so many people flamed you.
That's weird... Ok.. If anything, you share more struggles with black women. We didn't struggle as much as black men, and black women. Black women held you guys together during slavery, discrimination, racism, and basically throughout the harder times for black men, while we had a much easier life... we didn't struggle anywhere near as much as you guys and black women struggled. I'm just glad slavery is over.
Many people have struggled, or still is struggling in history. The Black man is not the only race of people this country has fucked over, we should have many more allies than just white women.
black first Research the FIRST people in the americas, like the Olmecs, they were black people of West African descent.Blacks were actually the first in the Americas, but dont take my werd for it look it up yourself.(Yes I do spell it "werd")
re This may be a bit of a stretch, but I think I understand what you are getting at. A few years ago, I read an essay written by bell hooks (I think it was her). Hooks, who is a bw, recanted a story of how she was riding in a subway car, and a black male called her "bitch." She chastised the young man, and told him it was no better than a white person calling him a N*****. She explains in her essay, that sexism is nearly worse than racism. She begs the question, how can a fraction of the United States' black population argue for equality when over half of the world's population is discriminated against for being female? I would not necessarily say this applies only to white females (or is at all applicable) but it certainly pertains to women of color.
Why Do You All Flame So Much On This Board??? Can I just, as a new member, ask a question or two? I am not addressing the OP question but I am curious as to why I notice so much flaming on this messageboard? It seems like people get flamed viciously for pretty much any statement that is bold and pushes the comfort zone. Why is that? I also notice that the flaming is often in response to a statement or question that actually supports, encourages, defends, or praises WW, BM, or IR couples. I am confused about this dynamic. Can anyone please explain?
You're Next! Ok, since you asked this question, it's now your turn to get flamed! :smt068 Just Kidding! Honestly, I think you ask a very interesting question, and it is one that will probably get many different kinds of answers. Maybe you should start a thread on this topic. I hope this reply doesn't sound flaming.
