Now, they lied to her. The bottom line is that they wanna get revenge on Bush instead moving foward and fixing the problems we have now.

Dex you should check out newsmax.com The huffingtonpost post is too biased for the left.

Goodbye strong, bold woman leader of the House of Representatives. Hello victimized, defenseless lady. How convenient.

That's not gonna happen. It's just gonna get bogged down in partisan bickering, like everything else in Washington

Is that more important than pointing out wrongdoing that's being done? :smt102

Gee, condescend much? You honestly view Pelosi's accusation of the CIA under the Bush administration, which wasn't exactly known for its transparency and probity in all matters, lying to her during a briefing when she was the House minority whip as her playing the victim?

FYI the erstwhile Senator Bob Graham has corroborated Pelosi's story and has also managed to make the CIA retract claims that they briefed him on three occasions in 2002 when he was the ranking member of the Senate intelligence committee by showing that the meetings which were alleged to have taken place didn't appear in his notoriously extensive personal logs. A retired CIA agent is also backing Pelosi's claims. Are these gentlemen also "playing the victim" in your estimation?

It's really amusing how they've managed to successfully shift the focus of the controversy over the purported "enhanced interrogation techniques" from the people who devised, authorized and implemented them to a debate over whether or not a handful of lawmakers from the party that was in the minority at the time, who were completely out of the loop and too pusillanimous to use what little power and influence they did have, knew something about what was going on.

That may well happen, but does the rule of law not count for anything anymore in this country? There has to be an investigation. If the law was broken, the people who are responsible must be punished or else we going to see successive administrations tread upon the constitution with impunity.

As someone who cares about the rule of law, I would like to think that is does count for something. And if there is an investigation, everything must be brought into the light, and everyone involved, from the former administration to all the members of the Intelligence Committee to the CIA agents, should testify. Maybe if they had a special prosecutor or something, it could do some good. Because anything else will just be partisan shit. "The Democrats are posturing" and/or "The Republicans are posturing". It's like a fucking game or something with politicians. I don't see it as a game.

I'd like to see a special prosecutor appointed to investigate what happened.

Lets give rights to the terrorists. Its okay that they beheaded Daniel Pearl and I'm sure those folks that had to jump out of the trade center are worried about the rights of these animals.

Obama is playing games that change we can believe in.

What happened on 9/11 was wrong. The people who did it are criminals. They should be brought to justice for committing a criminal act.

I know I'm gonna catch hell with many of the conservatives on this, but our nation really needs to look hard at our foreign policy. They did not attack us because of our liberal democracy. It's our interventionist foreign policy that played a hand in it

Its at least as equally amusing how Nancy Pelosi was briefed on the techniques by her own admission, yet only now is calling for action. Why didn't she sound the alarm bells back in 2002? Was it okay to waterboard then?
