I guess I'm not the only one. Looks like Jaime Foxx enjoys George Strait just like I do. If you ever listen to Strait's music, it is basically the Blues. Have you seen this version of Fort Worth? I love to sing this song:
I like old school country music, Willie Nelson, Allison Kraus, that sort of thing. Dolly Parton's awesome too.
That's what I grew up listening to. My dad is old country with some Steppenwolf and Stevie Ray Vaughn thrown in the mix. lol So, Don Williams, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, etc.
Even after living in Houston for 12 years - did manage pick up a liking for Country. Never have liked it. Every now and then, a song pops up that I like though. And my guy has gotten me to appreciate it a bit more since he has quite a few Coutry tracks on his ipod. What the performers names are, I have no clue. On a side-note - my mother just came back from a line-dancing tournament -to country!- in Sweden! wha??????
What I like about country music is that it reveals the true essence of life in a kind of story telling. I was watching Dolly Parton on 60 minutes this past Sunday and I tell you I love the lady's style, her down home kind of way and how much family meant to her.
I'm not a fan of country music. I own one Dixie Chicks CD and have a few songs that I've downloaded that are country-ish that I like. Other than that, give me dance music or heavy metal. LOL!
Hi, I love country music, always have since i was a little boy George Jones, Merle, Mel Tillis, George Strait, Leann womack, you name it
I don't go out of my way to listen to it, but I'll have no complaints if my friends play it. Plus, it's better than the pop bullshit that's aimed at 12-24 year olds. And I've actually heard a handful of badass country songs.

I have to admit I do love some country music. I'm not a big fan of the newer stuff but I do like Toby Keith and Garth Brooks. However, I will listen to Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and Patsy Kline any day of the week.
