I just happen to have an off day from work and I am watching "The View". The cast of Jersey Shore are special guest on the show and Joy is having a hard time dealing with it. She didn't like the show because she said that it portrays Italian Americans in a bad light but she reasserts her opinion that "The Sopranos" was ok. How do y'all feel about it?
IMHO, all one has to do...if said programme isn't to their liking.....is to merely hold the remote upward & either change the channel or turn off the blamed thing. 'Nuff Said. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
I use to feel the same way about about Flava of Love and I love NY but then I realized after watching Jersey Shore it's all in fun. Those who know me would never lump me in with Flava Flav and those would aren't worth knowing
I agree. I think its all in fun. I think that its not a cultural thing but more of a younger generation thing. I'm guilty of watching some of those shows. Some of them are just downright hilarious...especially Flavor Flav's show and the way those women were flocking after him...eeeuuuuuu! Lol!
I have to 100% agree w you. Its an age thing, not a cultural thing.. and her thinking the sporanos was ok and not this? Thats a bit weird imo.. Killing is ok, but fistpumping and doing your laundry and wearing poufs is not?? LOL at the women running after flava!!!
FG that's mean Flav might be a really smart nice guy. Isn't what counts is the inside? (Uber sarcasm)
Its funny you say that because I posted her name in the thread of people who I thought were oddly sexy the other day. She was probably a heartbreaker back in her days! Lol! Odd but true.
Y'know, m8... I don't *doubt* it......... Not at all................. OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
"Flyingeek, are you here for the love of Flava Flav?! I only have one clock left!!!" - *In Flava Flav's voice while stroking his giant clock*
ahhhh....i miss that show. still trying to decide which series was best, 1, 2 or 3...and luckily for me the night it was on always fell on bin night so it reminded me to put the bins out. the only bits of jersey shore i've seen has been what the soup has shown. it looks hilarious, and saw them on the ellen show as well. i prefer what joel mchale calls the show...the veal world. has a ring to it.
Tarsibear, there was never a dull moment on Jersey Shore. It was high-powered on almost every episode.
i think i threw up a little in my mouth:smt037 I thought Jersey shores were highly entertaining! I must admitt I watched it:smt042
All I'll say is now the Italians with "Jersey Shore" know how we black folks feel when we turn on the TV and it's nothing but baggy-pants rappers and coons like Flava Flav. That Chuck D was the star now Flav is upfront says exactly how far back we've slid since 1988.
I've noticed a lotta white people acting hood all of a sudden since our last presidential election. I was like: damn, I thought only black folks act like that.
For me it was after "8 Mile" came out that mainstream white people started trying to act hood. They would try their new ebonics terms they just heard on you and shit. Way before Obama.
i was going to say that i don't understand why white people would start to act hood once obama was elected...he's an intelligent and eloquent man. now 8 mile makes much more sense.
