Dude, there is no fatal flaw in my logic,
YOUR logic about women if fatally flawed as if women didnt know what they wanted and stuck with it.. we wouldnt have any sucessfull women at all. That in it self prove you wrong. Sure there are indecisive women - but its not the majority - we had that discussion before.

You fatal flaw is the freaking women you keep picking up - I simply dont get it. You really really need to change the type of women you associate with.
    Seriously.
    Can I be your wingman???
    :)

You know you might actually know what you want as a man. If you don't want to, you don't have to.

it doesn't surprise me at all in regards to the men here on the forum...especially the older ones that are absorbed into a career path...some people are just not meant to be parents and i can appreciate when a man knows himself well enough to realize he isn't cut out to be a parent...in real life i rarely find a man that isn't doing the math trying to figure out if i can still have a baby...that goes with the territory when a woman dates younger men...

When we do this Vegas trip I'm so on board with that :-D
Btw when I said women were indecisive I meant in relationships. I think it might an age thing also. You're older and far more confident in who you are so you know what you want more.

Pfft... it's not just the younger men I know Lippy, it's the men in their forties and fifties too. Maybe because they don't lose the ability to father a child as they get older? Or maybe it's a competitive thing, or a power thing? I don't know the reason obviously, but the desire is prevalent with the men I know in real life too.

And I agree that there are some people who simply aren't cut out to be parents, but there are also some who would make fantastic fathers who choose not to have children of their own for whatever reason. I guess that's what surprises me most when people say they don't necessarily want to have children of their own, because they've all been people that I think would make really great parents.

I was always this way to be honest.. and I do realize that many women are not when they are younger - but they are out there.
Your a smart man, dont date beneath you when it comes to that.

I still think I need to be your wingman -
So you are comming to Vegas?

I want to be a parent one day I just want it to be of my choosing. I've definitely seen a differnece between the kids who were planned and the ones who weren't. The parents seem to treat the planned ones better.

i've got to admit that i do agree with the fellas on the financial thing. if i ever fell pregnant to a man who said from the get go that he never wanted children and i chose to have the baby i wouldn't expect him to contribute financially or emotionally. that being said, he would not be able to come back into my child's life when he's faced with his own mortality. if he makes the decision to not be involved he's not involved fullstop. i'll get complete family medical history from him and then that's it. of course if he was interested down the line and the child was that would be a completely different story, but seeing i'd be bringing a life into the world without support from him and raising the child, then it will be just me from wo to go without his future feelings taken into account.

I 100% agree with this (it is unfair).. Thats why I say it needs to be discussed up front so everybody are aware of what the viable options are.

I am capable of raising a kid on my own and would not have any issues w it at all.
I just realize the ramifications for the majority of these women w unwanted pregnancies, it is a very complicated issue. But I will let it go now LOL.
    Vodka please:)

    Historic Health Care Bill Passes

    WASHINGTON
Delivering a hard-fought victory in President Barack Obama's year-long pursuit of a national healthcare overhaul, a divided House tonight narrowly approved legislation which both supporters and opponents call historic in its sweep.

The House's 219-212 vote tonight on a Senate-passed bill will deliver to the president's desk an initiative for which he has fought on Capitol Hill and campaigned across the country: A healthcare bill that he finally can sign.

Thirty-four members of the president's party joined all the House's Republicans in voting against the healthcare bill.

The House then approved, by a vote of 220-211, a package designed to reconcile differences between the Senate-and-House-approved bill and another which the House already had approved in November.

I'm with you 100% on this Tarshi. I think a person needs to either choose to be involved completely, or not at all. Anything half-hearted isn't in the best interests of the child.

I have one planned and one surprise, and I treat my son no differently from my daughter. I confess I was seriously pissed off the first 7 or 8 months I was pregnant with him, but that wasn't his fault, it was due to not intending to have more children and then finding out I was pregnant anyway. But I can honestly say that from the moment he was born, I felt no differently towards him that I did towards my daughter.

i was the same espy. my first was planned, and then my second happened (17 months difference). i was completely fine with the whole thing, but my ex was horrible...that's where the marriage broke down. she was the best "mistake" i've ever made and i for one would never take it back, and i think i can speak on behalf of my ex and say he would be of the same thought. at the time though, he thought it was the most horrific thing that ever happened to him. goes to show that what you think you want and the gift you get given in the end are completely different. if my ex had his way, my daughter would not be, and now he can't get enough of her. just a little food for thought for the men on here.

I'm not trying to ring the sympathy bell here but several of my friends have had this discussion before and the kids who are planned are met with less frustration and anger. They aren't beaten as often and aren't abused as much. Provided that the parents do this kind of thing at all but there's a difference in the way a parent might approach the situation because where one was completely willing and ready to give their life up another person who wasn't definitely carries resentment even they don't say it out loud.
