I really don't like the way some men here talk about women. If I disagree with someone online, if I think they're being a douche or something, I'm going to tell them. I'll call them every bad thing I can think of. But I never say "this is why men are ___" or "this proves men are ___". I would never degrade all Men based on something one person claiming to be a man posted on the internet. My respect for Men and Manhood in general is greater than some online squabble. One has to wonder how these guys think of Women, that any Woman who disagrees with them online prompts them to insult all Women. It's rather icky. Especially because the Women here are some of your best allies. Think how many lurkers you bothered with "Women don't know what they want" -- have you seen the Women here talk about Men like they're all dogs? No, the Women here tend to stay away from that kind of talk. You guys want fairness in law, but you're not practicing fairness on this board. Say whatever the fuck you want to me, I've proven here and elsewhere I can dish what I take, but save the declarations upon all Womanhood. They are beneath you.
I agree completely with you Tarshi. It was a shock initially but I wouldn't trade my son for anyone or anything in the world. Had I been given the choice I would have opted to not have more children after my daughter, so in this case I'm glad God gave me what I needed and not what I wanted. Both my kids give me hope everyday. Okay this is likely going to sound harsh Andrae, but those people need to get the fuck over it. These are children we're talking about, living breathing human beings who didn't have a say in being born. You choose to bring a child into the world, you need to let go of the selfish 'poor me I didn't ask for this' bullshit and be a damn parent. If you can't manage that, then by all means have an abortion. The thought that unplanned children are beaten and abused more is offensive, but then anyone mistreating another person is offensive to me. If you're a parent and you harbor frustration and anger towards a child for being born, you've got issues and you need to get over them, because that was your choice not theirs. Honestly it would be so much easier if people like that weren't allowed to reproduce in the first place.

I wouldn't trade the experience of being a Mom for anything in the world, and I know the Mom's on here feel the same way.
As I said in this post on the day of the vote. I was wrong. I took a risk unlike many of my kind who are risk aversive. I know it's tempting to beat ones chest like a gorilla, but sometimes one have to acknowledge this life is full of unknowns. I hope the socialist progressives make good use of this bill. I understand the IRS will be administering this program to fine ones ass if they do not have mandated insurance. That means people younger than me at 27 will be fined if they do not have health insurance as just one example of this Mafia bill.
I called my congressman's office this morning to ask why he changed his vote and a staffer told me "If you do not like it then leave the country". I will remember in November. I will start my own grassroot group to get his ass out of office.
Perhaps I should run for his seat. I think I'm a pretty good public speaker with the Toastmasters and I do have someone a grasp of the issues then that idiot we have in office here who is more concern about greasing his pockets.
blacktiger...do you have car insurance? the reason i ask is because it is mandate that a person must register and insure the care they drive...why don't you think health insurance should be a mandate?
Hello Lipstick. Yes I have car insurance. I may sound a bit ignorant to you, but is not the states that mandates you in having insurance and not the federal government responsibility to mandate that the citizens within the states have insurance. I understand even young people will be mandated to have insurance. The problem I have also is the governmental mechanisms like the IRS will be the enforcement arms of this takeover. I support health care, not this Mafia bill with it's many hidden taxes. I admit to you, I have not read this bill as this idiot congressman I have here who voted for it have not. If health care is to be mandated let it stay at the state level and also give people the option to buy their insurance across state lines rather than just the monopolies in their states. I love you Lipstick, I just think the federal government need to stay the hell out of my life. They already are taxing me too much already. It is bad enough that the federal government destroyed the black family.Then that is another story.
i haven't read the bill yet either...i keep hearing snippets about the bill on the news...mostly the opposing side...i know goverment mandates seem intrusive...my guess is that when car insurance became a requirement people felt the same way...people are upset by the questions on the census as well...the new airport scanners are a real treat too...the way i see it this is only the beginning...i am a tax payer and i don't love that i pay taxes but i will say that i would rather my tax money be spent on healthcare than a war...i think i will review the bill and hen comment

EspyInHeels, there is much we all do not know. Not one of us will ever have all the information at our disposal. I'm still learning. I'm 27 years old and I 'm learning new things everyday. Based on some information I get from the media and my own personal readings I use what is available to me and I go from there. Have you read that 2,000 page bill Ms. EspyInHeels? Do you understand fully the legalese written into it.?
