Now that the battle for Health Care has been won by the socialist progressives in the culture war will the traditional conservatives mount an intense counterbattle in repealing this bill through the courts? Could this be another step in the culture war? Though we may not see a violent civil war in this country, but we will see a bitter civil war in the courts.
Why, so the Dems can say "Now that your child who was born with asthma can now get health insurance, guess who's trying to repeal the law and take it away? Yes, the evil obstructionist Republicans." Damn that sounds so good, I might make my own commercial in iMovie.
If you want Socialist progressives go to Sweden or The Netherlands, please don't try to pass off the Democrats as socialists just because they passed a subsidized plan that covers just a bit of the expensive health care in this country.... and it also gives more business to private insurers. Do you think their stocks are going down? Take a short position and see what happens?
Uh.... Sweden and Netherlands are not Socialists - they are Social Democrats, there is acctually a pretty darn big difference.
I'm not saying they are socialists. I'm merely saying if Blacktiger thinks the democrats in the US are socialist progressives, than he should take a look at much more socially progressive countries like the ones I mentioned.
It's really sad that people like him have been force fed such a skewed view of the political spectrum. Most of the Democratic elected officials in this country are corporatists. The notion that the Democratic Party line is in any way "Progressive" is laughable to me. As for the people who want to start another civil war because of this watered down legislation which is designed to start the process of preventing the American health insurance industry from making billions of dollars by denying people care, fuck 'em. This teabagger nonsense is getting ridiculous, and I'm getting closer and closer to making the decision to finally take advantage of my Canadian dual citizenship and leave this country.
Civil War? Here? Nigga please!!! Americans are far too lazy to even think about doing something like that. When the oil companies were royally fucking us many people tried to form a one day boycott to show how much the companies needed us almost no one participated. We are a bunch of sleeping sheep and no matter what they do we're gonna take it. God forbid we don't watch tv or play video games. God forbid we take time away from gossiping about Sandra Bullock and Tiger Woods as if the lives of millionaire is real consequential to us. We as a people are lazy and self centered and I know for a fact nothing will be done in our life times because nor matter how bad things get we sit around and complain like a bunch of assholes. So digusted right now
WHAT! are you black because your statement reveals to me that you are extremely naive. The right wing in this country screams red scare every time social change challenge the status quo. Do you know this has been part of the right wing strategy for years calling black leaders and their policies communist or socialist. The right wing in this country behaved the same way when Martin Luther King was fighting for the civil rights bill. Look at the picture below explains it all. I don't think you would want a culture war started by the right because it want favor the minorities in this country. There has been no true leftest that has occupied power in this country. The only political spectrum exist in this country is the extreme right than corporate right which is the republicans and the moderates which are the democrats which are also corporatist. Do you know that Tea Party protesters spate upon a black congressman. The Tea Party protesters also hurled racial slurs Rep. John Lewis D-Ga., a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a N-word by those Tea Party protesters. Do you know in Texas the right wing school board has decided to remove certain civil right leaders from school texts books. Is this the kind of culture war we are to expect from the right wing. I don't trust the right in this country and I wouldn't want to be apart of their revolution either.
