I agree with you. its not so much about getting a beat down now but being shunned. but now a days it is more accepted but still not really totally accepted. But for the most part I should be more concerned about me and not what others think
You know shunning someone only works if you give a shit about what the other people think. Why would you care what anyone else thinks about who you date, it's none of their damn business.
Possibly when you get older you will stop being self-conscience of those around you and live your life how you want. There are plenty of blokes on here that fall into your category. Often people fear the unknown, I imagine that has stopped many people from crossing the colorline. For some in the past it was probably because the racial tension that stopped them, because if not you bet your bottoms dollar that many more people probably would have dated more interracially decades ago. But hey, it's 2010 (so futuristic sounding, where's the hover cars?) and a new day. My best advice would be, is to be yourself. I know it sounds like the cliche' cheesy thing to say, but in all of my experiences it has always worked in the first initial connection, establishment of relationship and into the here & now of the relationship. Majority of people just want to be treated like a normal person, not only at the end of the day, but also at the begining.

I've actually always told myself that the worse thing that could happen from asking a girl out would be that she'd pull out a gun and blow my brains out right there on the spot. The how to meet whoever or whatever threads aren't 'sick'. They are just done over and over and over again to the point of stupidity. And the whole "if you were gay" isn't sick either. Just kinda ... Weird. Alot of the threads you start really don't contain much info or relate to the site at all.
