You guys are all seriously on point. I wouldn't care to respond if thought provoking questions like this weren't posed C'mon, that's some heavy stuff being thrown around I didn't want to leave that question unanswered or not respond to him...and have it seem as if we are rhetorically cosigning that all BW think this way.....
Although this site can become stagnant at times, these dialogs/discussions are are definitely needed.
apparently this topic was on The View today. I'm sorry this shit sounds like a conspiracy to get Black people engaged in a non issue.
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/FaceOff/nightline-black-women-single-marriage/story?id=10424979 This was on Nightline tonight. I watched it. Hill Harper was completely on point. He shut 'em down more than once. He's a crime scene investigator, you can't get shit past him Smooth's favorite guy Steve Harvey got some zingers in too.
Wash her wig and take out her cornrows? Those are important qualities in a man? Seriously, WTH? And what's with all the emphasis on 'a man to take care of me'... take care of yourself, try it you might like it. Raise your own child, you had him, he's your responsibility. I understand that a male role model can be very beneficial in a boy's life, but it's not a must have, deal with it. Seems to me she wants a man who scores a 10 in every area, but is willing to accept whatever she wants to give him. She wants him to be reasonable in his expectations, give and take, but she's not willing to extend the same courtesy to him.
