Halle Berry didn't get dumped by Gabriel Aubry. Their split happened several months ago – and it was the actress who initiated it, according to a source. "She kicked him out months ago because he wasn't able to pull his weight in the relationship and she wanted to move on," a source close to Berry and Aubry tells PEOPLE. "They’re very amicable in healthy ways because of their child," adds the source referring to the couple's 2-year-old daughter Nahla. "Her main concern is for the health and happiness of her daughter." PHOTOS: The Berry-Aubry Family: The Way They Were As for the so-called "mystery guy" Berry was photographed holding hands with in New York City on Friday night, "they’re old friends,” says the source. "The photographers were chasing them so he just instinctively grabbed her hand." Meanwhile, a rep for Berry confirms to PEOPLE that she and Aubry "have been split for some time, but remain friends and committed parents to their daughter." On Friday, Aubry released a statement to Access Hollywood saying the couple are putting daughter Nahla's happiness first.
Because some may believe it's a face-saving move on Halle's part. After all, who would want to dump Halle Berry? :roll:

Well I'm sure that Halle wouldn't be alone in that, I suspect a lot of people would prefer people think they weren't the one who got booted. But just because someone is beautiful and rich, certainly doesn't make them dump-proof. Some people are just really ugly on the inside. Not saying that's the case here, just saying in general.

Then you have her stepping out after the news broke they were splitting up with a brotha, she was seen with Trey Songz over the weekend. Sounds like she yelling it out "where my black brothas at?" I dont know if she wanted a kid by a white dude for pretty babies, but that is the one thing I hear sistas talk about when getting with another race or a lightskinned brotha. I like Halle off and on....What gets me sometimes beign turned off by her is how dumbfounded she is with how she doesnt realize she hasnt had a black onscreen love interest since the 90s. I heard that she gives sloppy head and doesnt swallow! This has always been the problem with 10s. In my books better to date 5s - 7s; they will always work harder and compensate for where they lack. I have no doubt that she got dumped and yes who dumps whom does matter.
