I'll give you that. Also keep in mind the black community has never been paid attention to as much before this so after awhile media shies away from supporters and want to focus on nay sayers. But I do agree that black conservatives were especially silent during the Bush years despite his plethora of short comings. I for one criticize poor performance I'm not going to ignore it because I voted for him and he's black. The latter would make me as racist as a tea bagger and the former is irrelevant.
John McCain ran with no agenda and no plan. "Drill baby drill" was him (see how that turned out) and he foisted Sarah Palin on the American public. He said the economy was strong, then it collapsed. All this and he still got 49% of the vote. That's because white folks stuck by him on principle. They didn't care about being tagged as racists. They kept their criticism of him at home. They didn't root for him to fail like these black tea-bagging sellout crabs seem to be doing with Obama. I remember all that Dixie Chicks shit back in '03. You couldn't criticize a "wartime President." You couldn't say shit about Bush. If you did were a traitor. Isn't Obama a "wartime President" too?

Spike lee criticized Obama for not being more passionate...we know the president cannot stop the leak ....people just want to see him ACT like he is mad.
How can you be mad at the only organization that can stop the spill? Some people are clearly crazy. The president shouldn't follow the angry mob's footsteps. He should explain the situation more clearly though. If I am on a sinking boat and the only person who can fix it is the person who made the hole, guess what. The only thing the Dixie Chicks said negative about Bush was an indirect slam against him at one of their concerts, when one of them said, 'I'm ashamed to be from Texas.' For that, they were blackballed by conservatives. I'm not criticizing Obama for the Gulf oil spill, or the inability to cap it or stop the leak; it's a mile underwater and the federal government lacks the equipment or expertise to handle the problem, therefore he'll be forced to rely upon private industry to help solve the problem. I'm just saying that Obama's opponents are going to try to attach this man-made distaster to HIM, and not the real culprits; Cheney, Halliburton, the Bush administration, rampant deregulation and lax compliance in the energy sector. I don't think that's it. Most people that I've run into in life are either staunch Republicans or staunch Democrats. There is never any wriggle room in their minds. Too many people in this country will buy whatever "their" politician is selling because they believe in the principles of their party more than they believe in the principles of the representatives of their party. All they see is the "R" or the "D" after a person's name. And think of all the millions and millions and millions of people who NEVER vote. Think what could be accomplished in this country if more people used their right to vote idiots out of office. Instead we get the same political "reruns", who have long forgotten that they're supposed to be working for their constituents, not for their next summer home in the Hamptons. :roll:

Electoral votes for a state have always gone to the winner of the popular vote. In theory, electoral voters can vote whichever way they choose, but so far it hasn't happened. Do be fooled, popular vote, or whoever wins the popular vote per state, wins the Presidency.
That's not true. There have been times when the person lost the popular vote and won the state. In recent events, Obama lost the popular vote against hillary(in texas) and still won the most electoral votes. Obama also had a landslide victory on the electoral votes. What separates winners from losers are the rules sometimes. Obama kept the idea of winning electoral votes always in mind. He had more than double of those electoral votes than Mccain. Hillary also got more votes than he did in the primaries and still lost. Make no mistake about it, the popular vote does not count! There have been presidents in the past that lost the popular vote and still won the electoral votes to become president. Only a select few are picking the president!
First of all, there are no electoral votes that decide who wins a political party's primary election. Obama won more delegates than Hilary Clinton during the 2008 national Democratic primary elections; delegates, like electoral votes, are awarded to the winner of the popular vote in a state. People confuse total popular vote and electoral votes. If you win the popular vote in key states during a Presidential campaign that have the highest total of electoral votes, conceivably a candidate can have less than a majority of the popular vote but still win the election. Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000 but lost the states that had the highest total of electoral votes. It's not about total popular vote, Presidential elections are won state by state.
I agree with you...Im just saying people just want him to ACT like he is mad. I just want to take a more active role in protecting the beaches. he could at least came on TV and tell the governors to do whatever is necssary to protect your turf..I got you back. That is all he had to do. the governors know he cant stop the leak they just wanted not to be hampered by beaucrcay in protecting their turf.
