When you give somebody a positive or negative Reputation. Can you please put your name on the reputation so that people know who they received the Rep from. Question for the Administrator. Is it possible to add a feature where your screenname is automatically posted with the reputation? Thanks.
But isn't that why you make us have to wait to give rep again after we spread it so much? So I don't think it would be more of a private messaging system than it is already. JMO Maybe people will give less negative rep, since they won't be able to be anonymous, and so report more posts instead like we're supposed to.
The reason why it's throttled is to prevent a member from loading up another member with negative or positive rep. over a few hours. Unlike private messaging, which shows who the sender is, part of the purpose is protecting the identity of the sender. Some may be afraid to give negative reputation to those who truly deserve it, so it cuts both ways. A post that deserves negative reputation may not violate any guidelines. It could be a boneheaded opinion.

Fixed. This is not a PC thing, from personal experience I know that females leave neg rep too, in fact I'm reasonably certain all my neg rep is from women.

I think it has something to do with the police department. We use to use men and women and over time it has gone to female and male.
I believe all of my negative rep was from females too. Males get threatened by other males, females get threatened by other females. It's dumb. It's like we're all pissing on trees to mark our territory. :smt042 I've never given out negative rep. If I don't agree with a person, I'll either elect to engage in a discussion about it or not, and if it really ticks me off, unless I'm in a mood to say something, I'll just let it go, count to 10 and move on.

If I object to something someone says, I'll just reply to their post and tell them that. I don't see the point in neg repping the suspected trolls since they won't be around long enough for it to matter.
Oh, absolutely. I remember the last negative rep I received, I know exactly who it was, even though she didn't sign it, but given the thread and the topic, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. God forbid someone have a differing opinion. That definitely calls for negative rep. :roll:
You too? LOL! Honestly I would guess women leave more neg rep than men. It appears that the men are much better at just blowing stuff off than some of the women are. In my experience women get worked up easier, blow shit way out of proportion, and get offended quicker than men in general (insert Karma's 'some not all' disclaimer here and refer to my sig for further direction).
