Now that Charlie Rangel may be on his way out for corruption, now I hear my girl Maxine Waters is now being brought up on corruption charges. Is this a systematic attempt to go after the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) members?

Oh please enough with this race card bullshit. Rangel has no one else to blame but himself. He's been cheating on his taxes for years(and he's on the Ethics Committee for Christ sake!!!) Rangel is a terrible politican and his corruption has finally caught up to him. He's an embarrassment.
That investigation committee has always going after members of the CBC. Rangel and now Walters. The Senator from Kentucky O'Connell was involved like Rangel and Ensign of Nevada got in trouble. Where is the investigations on these guys? I saw last night on O'Reilly when he dismissed the racism of the Walters/Rangel investigations. Marc Lamont Hill came across as a soft brother. There is a difference between ethics violations and corruption charges. Corruption charges are more like the Abramoff scandal where he was outright bribing GOP congressional members. Rangel and Waters didn't report full income from private properties and Waters wanted to insure that the Treasury Secretary lent TARP money to a bank that her husband was heavily invested in. Neither has done anything that would require their dismissal or prevent them from being re-elected. If you're Black in any type of high profile position, better keep your nose clean cause folks are just waiting for you to fucc up!!

True archangel, except that Republicans have been 'investigating' Rangel for two years, and this is all they could find - illegal use of Congressional stationery to solicit funds to build a wing of a building in his honor, and non-reporting of income from a rental property in the Virgin Islands?? Hardly what I would call 'corruption', but clearly an ethics violation.
Rangel should had known better since the man before him Adam Clayton Powell Jr had a powerful post and got kick out of Congress. Also,he must has witnessed over the years Black Congressmen getting the worst punishment. He had nothing to blame but himself.

I have heard that there have been ethics charges put out on people in the past 2 years that have not stuck so Im sure or at least hope will be another set that will not be valid
This will be valid. Charlie is in charge of tax rules in his committe. He himself has admitted to violating them. It does not get any more guilty than a person saying they are guilty of doing it. The question isn't if he did it. It is if he did it on purpose.
