He became unpopular the minute everyone realized he was another corporate puppet and we've all been duped into believing that there was at least one honest politician.
The system is broken and its up to the people to make it better.

The moment he became popular is the moment he became unpopular. He let them build him as the solution. He was not. It takes time to fix the economy. I have to admit he should have worried about the economy first and then about the healthcare system.

What I see is an asleep population that won't fight. No president can get what the people want without them. New packaging same content. There is no way Obama could have gotten what he wanted because of the lack of support to do it. He had to make the best of compromises with the corporations.

Are you serious? That healthcare plan is clear evidence. A plan that requires every American to pay the same insurance that are screwing everyone over. He's fucking dispicable.

what? I don't think so. You still get the same insurance that you had before. The health care plan was terrible. It didn't do much because of the lack of support of the people. I need evidence in the bill to show what you said. If you have helath care insurance, You will have the same options as before. It was a very weak bill to fix a huge system of faults.

How many times did obama say if you like the coverage you got keep it?
I don't think anyone on the forum has read the damn thing but that comment about it turning everything to the same thing is B.S. The corporations would never allow it.

You get the same shit healthcare but now every person is required to have it. Before you didn't have to have insurance if you didn't want it. Now if you don't carry insurance the govt bills you. The only good thing the bill had was you can't get denied because of pre existing conditions anymore.

More media hand-wringing, hungry for drama. At this point in Reagan's first term his numbers were comparable. In most midterm elections, the party out of power makes gains. This is normal.

It has now become the meme among white people to feel "betrayed" and bash Obama even though it was no secret that Obama would try to reform health care and end the Iraq War, THIS IS NOT NEWS, HE CAMPAIGNED ON THOSE ISSUES

If anything, Obama has continued the Bush course on Afghanistan (right down to an Iraq-like "surge" out of the Bush playbook), and the bank and automaker bailouts were actually started by Bush/Cheney in one of their final acts in office.

Cheney said "deficits don't matter" when it comes to blowing up brown people in Muslim lands and "contractors" stealing billions. Black man gets in and wants to raise up ALL the American people (not just the rich), now Joe Six-Pack who can't even balance his own checkbook or keep a fucking minimum wage job is a penny-pinching deficit hawk. Motherfuckers can't even spell a protest sign right for God's sake.

RACISM, CALL IT WHAT IT IS

Funny thing is, all these right-wingers the media is picking for 2012 are either OLD (Gingrich), LOSERS who didn't even win the '08 primaries (Romney, Huckabee), or out-and-out quitters like Sarah Palin. A motley crew of cartoon characters.

Here's the biggest joke: the template for national Obamacare was actually enacted in Mass. by their former Republican governor....MITT ROMNEY

"Obama plays the blame game." Well get used to it, white people. It will take America 25 years to recover from Bush/Cheney if ever so you'll be hearing a lot about how they fucked up.

As for health care, if the premiums aren't too bad maybe it'll be a good thing, we'll see.

There are many people who like their health care insurance. You get what you pay for. If you want better health care, pay for it. The reason why everyone is required to pay for it is to fix our current status. If you look at your hospital bill, the price is tremendous. Some hospital bills are so high that you could have gone to a university for three years on that bill. Mind you, the bill was for a patient that was in the hospital for three days! You know why that is? Some people don't pay. They don't get insurance and then when they get injured. They go any way. The hospital has to cure them. They aren't going to pay so the hospital hikes the price up on the customers who do pay. This is a big problem in the system. It is one of the big reasons why your hospital bill is so far up there. The best solution that they came up with was get everyone on insurance so that you or another person does not have to pay higher fees for a person that can't pay. You have to deal with the freeloaders some how. If you already have insurance, this thing wasn't going to affect.

If you don't carry it and get hurt, I and everyone else with health insurance gets billed. That's the truth for the reasons I explained above. The other thing is a person may also lose their house. The hospital bill is expensive. so expensive that it was one of the big reasons people went into foreclosure. They couldn't pay the hospital bill and the mortgage.

There were plenty of good things that came from the bill. At least a billion dollars went to universities from that bill. There were deductions given for small companies as well for insuring employees.

A good example was what happen at Miami. Miami in 2006 was rated the poorest city in the United States of America. In 2010, Jackson Memorial hospital was found to be in 230 million dollars in debt. Most of it from uninsured people that could not pay. They almost lost the hospital this year. This is the main hospital that takes care of the people in Miami. How do you deal with the people that will get hurt and are uninsured?
If you have a solution for the current status, I'd love to hear it because I certainly don't have one.

Look there has to be compromises. If you don't want a candidate that is a so called corporate puppet, then run for office.

As soon as you win the election, you become a corporate puppet.

Whoever has the gold, makes the rules. That's how it's always been.

no, who ever has the power makes the rules. The American people like to sleep. They get what they get when they sleep. I find it hard to believe that you become a corporate puppet when you are defending the American people and they don't want to back you up in numbers. A lot of them want to sleep and then complain when shit goes down. no politician can win if the American public doesn't even want to assist. This president is proof of it. You could not ask for more of an outsider. He woke the american people up. Right after the election was won, a lot of people put the world on his shoulder and went back to sleep. new packaging, same contents. New president, same American public.

Edit: I noticed my comments during mid term elections where the amount of voters is pathetic. Even more proof of the B.S. that American public wants to go to sleep.

Money and power go hand in hand.

It's an illusion that the American people have any say over what goes on in the government.

Why do you think big businesses spend millions of dollars every year on lobbyists? To protect their corporations.
