In a capitalist consumerist country like the US the only way we can be heard is with our dollars. That's our voting. Money rules. The person who raises the most campaign money usually wins. In the last five presidential elections the winner always had the biggest campaign budget. So it basically comes down to who has the money to make the lemmings listen.

Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about mandatory car insurance? Many states require drivers to have car insurance to own a car. Are you just as irate over this also?

At least you have an option to drive or not drive. You don't have the option to live or not live. And like you said there are states I can go to to avoid mandatory car insurance. The healtthcare thing is nationwide.

 That's from the Obama/Dem talking points, but I don't know why they kept making that point as you just as easily dismissed it on its face.

You have the option of moving to another country. People do it all the time.

And maybe a hint of sarcasm too.

Have you heard of anybody moving from a state because they didn't want to pay car insurance?

Some people are resitant to change. Others don't like to be told what to do just because. Some fear the unknown & would rather things stay the way they are, even if what we're doing now isn't working.

Get in where you fit in I guess.

lol i know of people that use different addresses to pay less insurance and stuff like that...

i dont know of anyone that actually physically moved

on another note, Delaware has NO sales tax (last time I checked anyway). People used to go there just to avoid the government.

The same can be said about kissing my ass. Its an option and some have been to known to do it all the time.

I hate that we're becoming a country of people who want anyone that disagrees to disappear. I have no problem with change but I do have a problem with ridiculous logic. I agree that few people cross state lines to live somewhere else because of car insurance but that coupled with other things could be a reason. For example I prefer if we had less strict laws on gun ownership in NY which makes me consider living somewhere else. Its not the only factor but it is a factor.

    LOL That was funny.

Personally, I'll pass. I'm not the "Toss Salad Man." But I have volunteered on several occasions to "KICK a Muthaphukka's Ass" though...:smt006

I said move out of the country to counter your reply about moving to another state, which I thought was ridiculous. Hence the sarcasm on my part.

I have no problem with disagreements. What I do have a problem with are people who disagree just to disagree, or people who disagree without being open minded to other viewpoints.

Being open minded and admitting others have valid views are how we grow as a people and a nation.

No one is 100% right. If we ALL would take the time to listen to others we ALL might learn something.

But we know that'll never happen.

Same here. I know people who use their cousin's address so their kids can go to a different school...

Florida has no state tax. That's 1 reason people move here.
