BlackBelt79, I want to have further conversations with you in the thread I created in the Fitness Forum "Any Martial Artisits Here? I want to study Tae Kwon Do/Combat Hapkido as a secondary martial arts studies. I will continue to study Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate for it's excellent hand techniques, but I like the leg techniques of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido's realistic street combat techniques as well. I plan to restructure my study time with Shorin Ryu three times a week and Tae Kwon Do/Combat Hapkido twice a week starting this month. I will have questions for you on Poomsae forms Taeguek 1-8, and Palgwe 1-8. I want to balance my martial arts study with Okinawan and Korean. I may need your expert advice on techniques as I begin my study of Tae Kwon Do. Can we do this?
I'ma cut back on the alcohol. I'm getting too old to be hung over half the day, as new year's eve has proven. *sigh* my head STILL hurts...
Im giving up alcohol and half my caffeine for 6 weeks.... Not a New Year resolution, I dont believe in that.. I just want to look spectacular come the Grammys.. Im going again - WoooHooooo!!!! Im also switching my work-out from hypertrophy to defining come Monday and with that, my whole diet as well... Again, not anything to do w the New year, I simply met my goal of gaining weight to 118 lb (I was 111 in May, has taken a long time to gain that muscle weight). Lord have mercy on my soul when cutting my caffeine back... LOL
I've started learning Swahili and I want to be fluent, or at least very good at it by this time next year. I want to impress DH :smt080 and also be able to talk to his family and communicate in general when I'm in Kenya next. It's all going well so far, but it's early days. That's the only thing that's close to a resolution for me.
That is so wonderful of you to do Sin.... When will you be back with your hubby again? Can he re-apply to come and be with you yet?
Give up fags again. I quit for nearly a year, then got a bit stressed and picked up the habit again about 3 months ago. Anyway it makes me feel like shit, so I finished my last pack new years eve and I haven't had one since, already feeling better again.
I, like a lot of people that have replied, didn't make any resolutions. I set goals for myself at different points of the year. School semesters start in August and January so those are good time frames for me to work with. My goals for this round are: Graduate Get a teaching job Be healthier (cook more, regular gym time) Go to Europe Explore culture both oversees and stateside Keep working on my walk with God There are quite a few more but those are the important ones for now.
Unfortunately Fags do mean Ciggarettes. Maybe I should have left you in the dark? would that have been funnier?
