That is true. But dwelling on the matter takes up greater amounts of energy as oppose to just not forgiving someone. It's a always the case to be frank. As some Christians wouldn't really use Satan. Often times, they would comfort by saying that "God must have a plan." It's a matter of exercising a high level of faith.
They're relative. Normally, people wouldn't think of it at all unless some situation comes up and it causes some derailment in their lives.
yeah.....I believe (it happened to me so Im speaking from personal experience) that people have not been thru a crucible that will train them to handle that or have not sat down and really been taught how to handle it
No one is ever prepared for any unforeseeable events. Those situations that are not within your control can always take the most rational and stern person and break them apart if they allow it completely.
That is definately true, that is why you have to size individuals based on their action and character rather than the group they belong to. There lots of so called Christians who go to church every sunday and just right after that service they commit greatest sin and be evil. Not to sterotype, but there are lots of Italian Mafiosos who never miss a sunday mass, they attend the mass and go right to a local cafe for some branch all the while plotting the gunnig down of some particular family that same night. Heck there are folks who gossip about another individuals shortcomings in the middle of service. And there are folks who go to sunday service and use that time to balance their check book or to text their significant other and pay no attention to the sermon, BUT they say they were at church, lol. I always say the Kingdom of God is all around you and with in you not in the house made of brick or stone, so just coz an individual attend church 24/7 that dont make him/her a Saint.
In deed. I have a great deal of people on my facebook because of the show and a lot of "bible quotes" and "God is good" all the way "ass out pics" and "the over abundance of cleavage" striving to be Christ like has taken a side seat to "just being a good person"
To me anger is like acid eating away at my insides. Forgiveness for me at least eases the burdens that I carry around.
Agreed, you dont forgive people for their sake, you forgive them for yourself. I think some dont get that and/or confuse forgiving w forgetting. I used to be a very angry person w a lot of resentment as a teenager due to my home situation. I had an AHA experience in my mid 20s regarding that and all that anger and resentment I was carrying went away in a nano-second. It was like loosing a 1000 pounds. Since then, I have never really carried any anger or not been able to forgive, its easy. Im not gonna waste another minute on anger and resentment.
Nope. As long as you move on with your life and show that you can be the better person, you're strong.
If someone does me wrong its hard for me to forgive them. I hold grudges. Its one of the things i dont like about myself.
