But after they went inside Miss Benjamin slumped on to the sofa and began to drift in and out of consciousness. She suffered from the rare cardiac condition SADS, or Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, which kills about 500 people in Britain each year, the inquest was told. Mr Ross, 21, tried to revive her before paramedics arrived, but nothing could have been done, the inquest heard. He told police that he and Miss Benjamin had been friends for three months, but the evening she died was the first time they had kissed. He said: ‘It was not a sexual relationship. We saw each other a couple of times a week. ‘We were going to go to a bar for some food and went back to my house for a credit card which I had forgotten. ‘We were talking and ended up kissing by the front door. ‘We went into the kitchen and then the living room and Jemma sat down on the sofa.’ Mr Ross said Miss Benjamin’s eyelids suddenly ‘began to droop’ and her mouth started to froth before she collapsed at his student flat in Pontypridd, South Wales. He said: ‘I rang her mother to see if she had epilepsy. She fell in and out of consciousness.’ After dialling 999 Mr Ross was given instructions in administering CPR over the phone, but was unable to revive the teenager. Wow, definitely a very sad story. Goes to show how effed up and cruel life can be at times. He could never have imagined that under any circumstance. None of us would. One minute joy, the next sadness.
I was reading about this on the train to work, didn't realise her boyfriend was black. Very sad story.
Wow poor kids. That just plain sucks. God rest her poor soul. But I guess there's another way to look at this. That night she was gonna die no matter what at least she experienced her first kiss before doing so. Small blessings.

i know i dont get it either, its like if you do those things you're glamourized and worshiped by people out there, very disturbing, last year there was a woman who molested children at a nursey and there was a facebook page made where people were actually defending her :S
WTF? So sad!! No pun intended. My infant cousin died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) / crib death. No explaination yet. At least in her case it was a known but rare heart condition. Damn!!! Sucks!!!
How long before racists spin it so that her kissing a black guy is what killed her? I can see parents using this as a boogeyman. Don't kiss a black boy or else you'll die like Jemma did.
