Even among prisoners, rapists and molesters are seen as the lowest of the low in the hierarchy of prison life and always have to watch their backs because a shank is likely to go into it at some point.

But you have to keep in mind it is bigoted individuals that want to use a brush to paint everything in the light that suits their already preconceived notions and stereotyping mindset. Those kind of folks are likely already skewed in their thinking. How come for example the whole white race isn't chastised when for example John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Dennis Rader, Ted Bundy kills numerous people individually. No one says see those whites are such savages, bloody animals, perverted sickos, etc. I don't think in America the views of racists have changed about how they view blacks. Only the time period has changed but the mindset is still there in bigots. You have to remember when looking at American history that blacks have been spat upon from the earliest days as a colony, then slavery (3/4th's of a human being) and segregation (no right to vote). That system was so built on hatred of blacks that it has shaped generation after generation on either side of the ledger. The difference is today, blacks have the legal rights under the law, unlike earlier days, doesn't mean that all folks will learn to be respectful, i.e. the Louisiana Justice of the Peace that refused a marriage license for an interracial couple. Some folks will forever remain sick in the head and judging people by skin color, with no regard to the individual person. Old habits die hard or live on in ever changing forms.

Well Brittney, from reading the posts and observing what was going on, Tony (who's a mod also) is clearly more frustrated with Nico being here than you are. He expressed it within his posts. And please don't brush me off and tell me to stfu, that's obviously what's being seen from reading the threads. It doesn't affect me that much because I try not to drag myself into threads that he replies to, but when it does it incites conflict. You should re-read the Confederate flag thread and do a search of all of his posts. By your logic, if we keep disagreeing with Nico and his postings 80% of the time, you will still defend him and state he's fine and not a problem? There is a problem and you're not seeing it completely. So you can't tell me to stfu, my initial post was justified.
Yeah, I understand what your saying about our history personally. At times I still feel a bit fearful about us engaging in interracial relationships, as if some people believe that it's more acceptable for every other race to engage in interracial relationships except black guys. (Ie, black guys only talking to black women) That's the disappointing thing about because I grew up thinking that way and missed a few opportunities several years ago when I met a few white girls that did have interest in me but I had to think about my parents ideology about it and say, "nah, I can't do it".
