Theres no one label for this man. To put it plainly hes a nut who makes daily attempts of convincing his audience that people not like him or his kind are not true Americans and dont "belong" in this country's fabric. Our President included. (read into that what you will) He plays off of paranoia and fear of the unknown by taking policies this country has employed over decades and re-packages them as if theyre a new phenomenon attributed to a new socialist regime.

Seriously, I honestly dont believe differences of policies themselves are the division in this country, its the PEOPLE leading us whom play off our fears and social difference and thus typecast issues attributed to an opposing party as a ' evil spawn of their kind'. No better example than the protection of the environment. Unless youre a greedy heartless businessman. All parties and voters should have an interest in it. Yet, we've allowed agenda inspired parties to divide our common sense.

 

I've stated this a while back. Centrism or "moderate" positions don't exist. Merely pandering to one ideology or simply just an appeaser. Sadly, in this environment (being a centre-right nation) it's the only means to get the majority of people on their side. But even with that, you'll have idiots who'll dissent for the sake of dissenting.

 

listen to his radio show(beck),read his website or google him and you will see who race-baits. to your second point, i would agree to an extent, but i would counter with, an argument about presentation and style.
msnbc might at times come off as sarcastic to ppl they don't like, but fox spews vitriol and hatred. calling someone hitler or a nazi is nothing more than inflammatory ignorance.

To your first paragraph I d have to research his findings in depth to come to that conclusion, but I can say with absolute 100% agreement on your second paragraph. Your environmental protection example is succinct! Even though I'm being vilified by left-wingers here, your example is why I have centrist, bi-partisan views. It doesn't mean I'm not passionate, but I'm not a fool. We've lost sight on what's good for this country because everyone wants to say "I told you so". Like Rush...he desperately wants Obama to fail and said so after his election, even though that equals to the detriment of our country.

I feel somewhat nauseated at the thought of having to seek out his views to listen to him - maybe another day when I feel up to it. I will say the 2-3 times I have listened to him, they were not race-related. One was about Global warming. The other time was in '03 when he went on about the Iraqi War in an anti-Bush rant, and I was impressed. And of course, the one today where I mentioned trying to stay awake to his recount of the park incident. in which he seemed very kumbyaya about Americans getting along. Seems I have a lot of catching up to do.

You're out of your goddamn mind. Politicians tell anecdotes about their children in the context of whatever issues they're addressing all the time. Obama didn't do anything that hasn't been done a million times before.

Regarding your allusion to Chelsea Clinton and the Bush twins, the Beck incident is only comparable to the nasty comments that people like Rush Limbaugh made about Chelsea's appearance when she was a teenager. The Bush twins were adults were they were going around acting like drunken lushes at UT. I don't condone the exposure of their private lives, but they were the ones who continuously made fools of themselves in public even after their behavior was reported in the national media. Additionally, reporting the truth about them being fuck ups isn't the same thing as personally attacking a child. Another BS comparison to make it seem like left wing pundits are equal to the right when it comes to personal attacks.
