Essentially, they are socialist countries with capitalist elements where they allow free market business with some regulatory methods. All those countries you've named fit that description VERY WELL. You look at the names and you need to delve deep into what they represent before you make an ass out of yourself. Germany still has universal healthcare for over 90% of their people and it works incredibly well.

And if you want to talk strict socialism, then let's consider the country Brazil, which has have socialism enacted in the country. Then let's add Kibbutz to that as well. They've managed to maintain growth as well.

And I'll remind you that parts of the healthcare reform bill has been enacted since it started and I'll also reiterate that it's not perfect, but it's a good start because we can always improve on what didn't work for ALL Americans, jackass.

As for the overall economic turmoil, everyone has to make a sacrifice sure, but eliminating tax loopholes for corporations, and increasing the tax bracket for those who are well off will actually ease down the nation's debt and also reward businesses who employ people here and everything else. Everything is a trade off and it'll take a long time to pull through. Unlike you, I can actually maintain a lot of pragmatism since this country is too stubborn to die out.
