I wasn't going to say anything about Perry but when I read the New York Times of his "miracle" job creation record and how it REALLY happened, this guy isn't as bright as I thought. Even some of his conservative friends were not too happy about him. Basically, he was in the right place at the right time. Texas' job creation had moreso to do with the fact that the oil and gas prices has shot up. It had nothing to do with any of his policies. When he took office in 2000, oil prices were $25 a barrel. At one time, it got up to $147 a barrel. Its now around $80 a barrel. Texas NATURAL resource is oil and gas so of course it would benefit from the increases in barrel prices. Texas has the highest amount of minimum wage jobs in the country, bar none. Also it is the state with the most amount of workers without any health care insurance. Plus, NASA and the military bases in Texas has been pumped up financially by the government. We won't even get into the prospects for the blacks and hispanics. Texas has one of the largest hispanic population and many of them are working BELOW minimum wage. His policies are pretty much non-existent, he just follows the creed of less government, less spending and no new taxes. Even some conservatives are stating him being POTUS and thinking that is going to work nationwide as it has in Texas, he will be in for a rude awakening.
dont forget the education system is well below the ranking of the national average and he balanced the state budget with stimulus money
True. I had been hearing about how half the jobs created in the U.S. were created in Texas during the last two years, I was almost in awe of this guy at first. Then I was like ..... WTF !!!!
If I was Obama getting in debate with Perry, I will hammer him with, well, there is nothing that says patriotic and proud American than talking about Texas might have to secede from the union!!!! This will be like shooting Perry point blank on the chest and burying him right in his living room, it will be the end of him. I am sure Obama’s Jewish advisors will recommend him to point that out during the campaign trail.
hell yeah, that right there should bury his ass and have him running for the hills. any person with half a mind would use that clip where his is saying that. Put it in commercials and part of the debate.
