Do you mean "the most" as in "ever"? If so, it was my from (then) boyfriend, who became my husband. When I met him while on vacay here and I had to leave him and go back home...he couldn't take us being apart (or I) and he surprise sent me a one-way airline ticket via FED-EX to come back and be with him (marry him). Of course I accepted it and came pretty much right back into his arms! It was the most incredibly romantic moment in my life. :smt049 And back then, Aust to US tickets weren't cheap either.
a woman I was dating walked in the room having on nothing but a bikini and high heels and stated "my credit rating is good"
I know right! LOL..And believe it or not a ONE-WAY is more expensive than a R/T. Because they are basically considered and open ticket to change. That's why most people get r/t and never board their return trip. (but he made sure I couldn't do that with the O/W, of course...Ahhh, American men, that's why I LOVE 'EM).
what if i did something for someone else? does that count? this isn't my best but something low key saying "olive you."
My ex-husband took leave from primary flight training in FL and came home to PA to surprise me for my birthday (June). I hadn't seen him since Feb and didn't expect to see him until our wedding in Sept. He also bought me a puppy one year for my birthday. I loved that dog!!! Another thing he did ended up funny. I used to be a big cross-stitch fan and commented that I would love to have every color of floss that DMC made (over 200 colors). So one day, we were all at K-Mart and ready to leave and he said he had to go back into the store for something, to wait for him in the car. So my son and I waited and soon started getting antsy. I went up to the store and peered in the window to see if he was checking out and he was. He had bought every color of floss K-Mart had, and each one had a different bar code and had to be swiped individually!! Almost 200 skeins of floss. Took the cashier half an hour to ring them all up. Lol!!
it was after me and my ex broke up, but he had already bought my gift for my birthday/hanukah but he got me everything Abbott and Costello ever did on DVD. i was surprised that he got that, because only once in passing i mentioned how me and my father always used to watch Abbott and Costello's. i didnt think he payed attention. but i guess he felt bad so he decided he better make it up somehow
It's the small gestures that mean the most to me like letting me play videogames all day without being bothered, letting me hang out all night without the pesky "where are you?" calls, surprising me with cheesecake etc...
