Hot on the heels (literally) of the "is this racist" debate over Vogue Italia's "Haute Mess" editorial, come these photos from Minx, on the nail looks used on the shoot. And they aren't pretty. The super-long fingernails are questionable in terms of ethnic stereotypes, but it's the grotesquely elongated toenails that are skeeving us out — those things look dangerous. We get that Stephen Meisel was going for provocative and exaggerated, but this is cray cray. Celebrity nail stylist Lisa Logan, who created the looks, described the shoot as "Fashion Week on steroids." To create the toenail tips, she Minxed two-inch nail tips and attached them to models feet. The effect is mesmerizing, but we're not sure it's in a good way. What do you think, are these tricked-out toes high-fashion or hells to the no?

nay. i prefer a good gel or acrylic french tip thats not pointy. i like my back scratched, with the pointy stuff it seems like id need a safe word or something.
Bwhahahahaha!!!! Anyway, the toenails are horrible. Sharp, pointy fingernails could maybe work on certain folks, like the ones who file their teeth into points too and get the tips of their tongues sliced down the middle.

OH-KAY Wow, I love long nails, but active length long, ON THE HANDS. And the points? Whats THAT about? Feet should be short, because I have YET to find a woman who likes her feet scrunched up in the shoe, and/or tearing their stocking. This is a bit extreme, and I hope this trend passes with a QUICKNESS!
Definitely nay! I appreciate nice looking feet (and hands) with nail color, but I prefer them to be much more subtle. I also prefer real over the fake stuff, with all being the same color. Also... I don't care for long toenails at all. I think the nail extending slightly over the tip is nice. I'd even say it's sexy.
