A petition regarding vets health care for those who care....

    http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/662/495/664/?cid=Facebook_petition_dont-mess-with-vets-health-care#13363039005001&action=udata&udata=false

Our veterans have risked life and limb to keep our country and us safe. Many of them come home with serious physical and mental injuries and disabilities. If any American citizens deserve high-quality and easily-accessible medical care, it's these men and women. That's why we have TRICARE -- government-sponsored health insurance specifically for vets.

Yet Congress continues to gamble with health care for vets by refusing to deal with the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) -- the same formula that's used to decide how much to pay doctors who treat Medicare patients. If Congress does nothing, these payments could be slashed by nearly 25 percent on March 1, which would make the cost of seeing vets too expensive for doctors and potentially meaning some veterans won't be able to find a provider who can take their insurance.

The least we can do for Americans who risked it all for us is to care for them when they get home. Tell Congress to pass a real solution to Medicare and TRICARE payments.

that was one of the realist songs they ever performed

you know...back when songs and lyrics had tremendous social meanings, that made you look at things a different way

    Signed, thanks U4E....
My guess is Christine, that it is meant for Americans, but the reason they have other countries on the poll is because there are Americans all over the world....
What a sad state our country has become to threaten to take away from the people who protect all of us....

It's sad seeing vets get fucked outta education. Now they wanna fuck them out of their health benefits. Damn shame.

    basically

    it's a new world order

that $40-50,000 college aid the military used to advertise was a big reason why so many people joined up

i never see them advertise it anymore

Motherfuckas are out of work and they offer benefits. They have absolutely no reason to offer free education anymore. That way they keep their ranks experienced with little reason to leave the military since getting a job is almost impossible afterwards. 17% unemployment for soldiers coming home. Fucking disgraceful.

    it's business as usual

the welfare of the corps is the biggest enterprise of them all

but yeah...a steady paycheck....solid benefits...military is still a viable option for many healthy people, that are looking at surviving off foodstamps, unemployment, or bouncing around from shitty no benefits jobs like Micky D's and KFC (at least when I worked in fast food, benefits weren't an option back in 02)

there's a lot of reasons why some vets are unemployed tho...

the rigors of military duty gets to the best of them, and sometimes people come back as a shade of their former selves

stuff that means a lot to the average civilian suddenly doesn't mean shit, because you looked death in the eye and smiled, on a daily basis

as a side note..i vote for congress to not have the ability to raise their already lucrative salaries, if they go ahead and start slashing shit. Matter of fact, I vote for them to have their salaries slashed, so that their job becomes one of social duty instead of a career
