Just watched the full debate and Ryan won hands down

Biden acted too smug for my liking. Too much laughing and smiling imo.

 

Debates are won on content, not style.
The fact that Ryan was ripping the president's stimulus bill and then got called out by Biden for requesting millions in stimulus funds for constituents in Wisconsin was all IN YO FACE!!

You conservatives are so full of it.
Biden used the EXACT SAME TACTICS as Mittens; interrupting the moderator, going over his allotted time to answer, not letting his opponent finish his point.

As I've always known, conservatives love to do dirt, but when Dems give it back to them they can't take it.

If Ryan wasn't talking out of his ass most of the time, Joe wouldn't have been so incredulous with his facial gestures.

BTW, if you're going to propose $5 trillion in tax cuts, you have an obligation to explain to the American people how you're going to pay for it.

RYan still couldn't do it and neither has Romney.

whats funny they love throwing out how the stimulus was a socialist move but yet RYAN was outed by Biden for going back door and getting some of that stimulus money for his district.

I based my winner of the debate to the guy who I would trust to run the country in case something happened to the president. The candidate that I believe should be more than capable and experienced to handle the nuclear codes and whatnot.

The economic stimulus act of 2008 was there to prevent any reoccurring recession and we are not in one.

 

Paul Ryan is also the Congressman for Wisconsin and he has a duty to represent his state regardless if he agrees with the legislation. So if he is asked to help a Wisconsin entity applying for existing federal grant funds, he did not let flawed policy get in the way of doing his job and providing a legitimate service to his constituents.

 

This is BS. Several Southern U.S. Senators REFUSED outright any stimulus funds. That way they can bash the stimulus without looking like hypocrites.

You can't accept stimulus funds using the argument it's going to help create jobs, and in the same breath say the stimulus bill didn't help jump start the economy.

It would be the same as Ryan being opposed to abortion yet voting to expand access to abortion nationwide.

Is hypocrisy that hard to understand??

 

Then those southern US Senators didn't do their job. I can disagree with a million things my boss does or wants to do, but I still need to do my job. Ryan has a responsibility to the state over his own personal views. Only if we had a President that would do the same...put the interest of the country over his political party's beliefs.

 

how? is he going to lower the mortgage tax deductions and child care tax credits/deduction.

will he remove the college tuition deductions and what not. if so he would hurt the middle class and the poor who are trying to get to the next tax bracket. they are also talking about shrinking pell grants and slashing education (where are they gonna slash it. are they gonna do smart things and say if you have a high school football program then you dont need fed dollars. why should we pay for new football stadiums and lay off teachers

No, Ryan's plan was to lower the rate and simplify the code so people did not need to have so many deductions & credits just to have a reasonable tax bill.

 

I thought it was a tie, honestly, I was surprised that the VP debate was even a big deal. I am more interested in how the rest of the presidential debates go.

That's bullshit Ryan own words was that the stimulus would create jobs & growth. Now that it's politically convenient Ryan against it because he's trying to get elected.

Ryan don't believe in abortion therefore he's against it. Why can't he apply that same principle to the stimulus?

 

Yeah I think the majority of voters have made up their minds before the debates. The media covers these events like they're a sport and are over-inflating their value.

 

Because he has a fiduciary obligation to the state to get funding for them. Even if he doesn't agree with it, he is still the Governor of Wisconsin and must represent the interests of everyone.
