Obama Wipeout Republican Party

I acknowledge that Fox news is rightwing and MSNBC leans left wing. CNN is the the acknowledged center, although during the ran up to the election was center right.

By liberal media are you also including MTV, VH1 etc. I consider cable TV news media more influential politically . C-Span and the like are not liberal media, they just report the facts. I think the Rightwing due to their sliding scale with facts will call any other media liberal if they don't agree with them.

Funny I like Rachel Maddow and Big Al. I think Big Al is underrated for his intelligence.

 

Yep, I agree that cable networks like MTV are more influential because they impact younger voters to get involved politically. Obama was strategic in addressing this audience in both elections, because they are largely an undecided base because it is most likely their first election. Running the best campaign does not always mean you are the best candidate.

 

In this case Obama was the better candidate and run the best campaign and would be a wonderful resource person for the next candidate in 2016.

 

Comparing Fox News to MSNBC is a joke.

MSNBC is liberal leaning, but they still have a diehard conservative like Joe Scarborough who hosts a morning show everyday.

MSNBC criticizes Obama for the lack of diversity in his cabinet.
MSNBC is liberal, but they also take a critical view on BOTH parties and the political system in general.

The best candidate...really? If I told you a CEO of a Fortune 500 company added $5 trillion to the company's debt and created a net zero gain on new employees. Would you give that CEO another four years? Yet somehow you felt compelled to do that with Obama. I tell you this much...Obama would never be my personal financial advisor.

 

First, MSNBC is a joke. They are reverent to Obama. They treat him like he is some Christ like figure who can do no wrong. The reason Fox News covers Obama so harshly is because he is the only President who gives them no access. It started in 2009, when he started doing press with every other news organization but them because he didn't like being called out on his decisions. So he will do every show that promises not to say anything bad about him.

 

I said he was the BETTER candidate compared to who was running against him. Trust me the next candidate would wanna tap into Obama's uncanny ability to raise funds and run an effective campain to WIN an election.

 

Oh I completely agree. He is great at running a campaign. But my question is do we want the best candidate or best campaigner to be our President?

 

James surely you know that there was an increase in jobs and that it was NOT Obama by himself who added $5 trillion. That would be the Fed, who strong-armed congress by saying we would go into a depression the likes of which we have never seen if the bailout/stimulus/QE 1 and 2, were not passed and implemented.

Rachel Maddow rips Obama. Ed Schultz questions Obama's ability to negotiate effectively with Congress and has been reprimanded more than once by Obama's press team.

Chris Matthews has a heart-on for Barack, but even he questions the POTUS's policies.

There's a spectrum of analysis among the the left leaning politics on MSNBC, but it's nothing like the phony news on Faux.

Faux News was telling their viewers that Romney was winning the presidential election well after every major projection said Obama had won. That's insane.:-|

No one on MSNBC treats Obama like he's a 'Christ figure who can do no wrong.' I don't even know what that means.

Obama catches heat from two main political factions, that whacko Right and the hardcore left. MSNBC is left leaning in their commentary, but they aren't cheerleaders 24/7.

The GOP is imploding and it's no one's fault except their own. Stop looking for progressive villains to blame. Look in the mirror instead.

 

There was no increase in jobs in his first term- he lost 4 million jobs and created 4 million jobs.

The Democrats along with Obama pushed the bailout/ stimulus money...not Republicans.

 

I admit that Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves when it comes to the election. But I think the new generation of Republicans will reach new audiences and have better messaging when 2016 rolls around.

But let's just be honest that MSNBC and Fox News act as mouthpieces for their respective parties. They just push the agenda of the party. There have been times where Fox News anchors like Greta Van Susteren criticize what Romney and other Republicans were doing on the campaign trail. But stop defending Maddow and Sharpton...if you could zoom in on the papers on their desk it would be White House press releases. They just sit there and read them verbatim.

Selective memory is the middle name of most Republicans.

 

Colin Powell is entitled to his opinion, but his word isn't gospel. I think the younger Republicans like Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Kelly Ayotte and Nikki Haley will learn from 2012 and be better prepared to campaign in 2016. Campaigning is a completely different thing than running a country. I thought Romney was the better candidate, but Barack was the better campaigner. In the end, voting is a popularity contest. Whether it's middle school student government or running the United States. The popular person wins!!

 

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that Barack Obama signed into law was $831 billion, a far cry from $152 billion that Republicans voted for. To shell out that much money and have nothing to show at the end of four years is a shame. But the line of thinking was flawed from the beginning. You spend $111 billion on infrastructure projects. So it puts construction workers in jobs for a few months to build a road, but then once it ends they are unemployed again. Instead he should focused on the private sector which can create lasting employment so someone can have a job to support their family for years.

 

JW1,you are really are in fantasyland when you think there is no dark strain in the GOP. In my state the legislature is going to vote for voter ID and the governor(R) will sign it. The Republicans will never learn their lession when it comes to race. I doubt Mr.Scott will win the election for US Senate in SC.

 

The question they posed in the commercial was legitimate. “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?” “Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school?” It continues, “Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but he’s just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security. Protection for their kids and gun-free zones for ours.” If there is a significant portion of the population that is for having armed security guards in schools, then it needs to be addressed in the gun violence debate. Plus, the video does not show pictures of the president’s daughters.
