I think it may be more likely to run into a shallow or closed minded woman that would equate the malice that racists harbor in their hearts for bm to kids picking on each other at school or some other form of "discrimination." Since everyone on earth has either been picked on at school or disliked for no apparent reason, such a sentiment only serves to tell you to stfu. I don't expect ww or any woman to fully understand the plight of a bm in America, but I sure as hell don't need to be involved with someone that trivializes it.
I'd like to know what WW here thought Zimmerman or Dunn were innocent?? Esp Zimmerman? (because that thread was many pages long and practically everyone weighed in on that topic.) Please make a list.
Very good point. If one is dealing with a woman from a completely different background, interests, perspective about life, she is not likely to even grasp such issues tangibly as far as profiling, stereotypes, driving while black, black thug stereotypes, etc. Its just not something that is going to be in her world view. It would be akin to me delving in depth on women's reproductive rights, telling them I get a say over their vaginas opening and closing. From a man's perspective it is totally different to the issues I face on that subject. Same would go for a white woman when it comes to black men, social issues and such. All I can do is serve to impart my experience and knowledge about these matters, as she would do with me when it comes to female social issues. Better to be able to learn and reason, rather than close oneself off and remain ignorant. I would consider myself a black independent, I don't care for politics or either parties politically frankly. I generally have a distaste for politicians and politics itself because of how low base it is. I try to call it as I see it, if a black man is a fuck up, a thug, robbing and stealing and he meets his faith, I say his actions, his consequences. If he is someone who is profiled, not engaging in criminality and loses his life, that cannot be just reasoned away and it makes one wonder why it occurred. There is no one size that fits all approach, but I would deal with any white woman as long as she is open to reason and fairness, i.e. treat folks how you would like to be treated.
Good post. I am the same in this aspect as well. There is no need to ask a woman how she views discrimination or racial prejudice. In reality such a sentiment will be rather apparent. I am intuitive enough to sense a shallow/dismissive person and weed them out rather easily. Outside of sex their company is not enjoyable.
Not at all a silly question. If a woman is like "what's the big deal?" she doesn't have a whole lot of insight, intellect or empathy. At minimum, she should be able to understand why black men in america would be upset with those verdicts. A basic sense of fairness, having nothing to do with race, should land her in the camp of folks who know something's rotten about those verdicts. If she's on the opposite side, it's downright creepy for her to be laying down with bm. Not a silly question, but that's for sure a silly answer. :!:

Also want to be proud of her. A woman who's so shallow to think "justice was served... what's the big deal" in the zimmerman and dunn cases isn't a woman I'm going to proud to be with at all.
