IS ANYONE ELSE SICK OF ISRAEL?

Almost 1700 dead and still counting. At least 400 of whom are kids. This isn't the first incursion but smth that happens every 3 or 4 years going back to the 80s! The last operation Cast Lead in Jan 2009 killed 1200.
IMO,the Israelis test new weapons tech on the Palestinians-phosphorous,DIME dense inert metal explosive and even chemical agents if some reports are true.Looking at the bloodshed I honestly believe strange pathologies in Israeli society find release in this slaughter.
Any Israelis or with knowledge of the region,preferably one who's lived there who can comment?

 

If Mexican rebels were launching low grade missiles DAILY across the Rio Grande into the Southern U.S. declaring Death To All Gringos and selling the myth that Arizona, California and Texas were occupied territories, there would be no more Mexicans living in Mexico.

I feel for the Palestinian people because their government has been taken over by a gang of fanatic thugs who aren't above using the entire Palestinian population as human shields against Israeli bombs.

Hamas has missile sites set up in apartment buildings and hides their stockpile of weapons in schools, mosques and hospitals.

If Hamas and the PLO decided one day that their sworn blood enemy wasn't Israel, the Palestinians could have had their own independent state before January.


When you send suicide bombers regularly into Tel Aviv restaurants and buses, did Hamas think Israel was going to forget when they had a chance to retaliate militarily??

Hamas made a catastrophic miscalculation. Netanyahu is a war-hawk and not really a peace treaty type of guy.

Netanyahu knows Israel has the strongest army in all the ME and that no single ME country is going to send troops to fight and save the lives of Palestinians.

Groups like ISIS will run crazy in Iraq but it's telling they won't go to Gaza and fight to save the lives of their Muslim brothers being slaughtered.

I simply cannot have a single iota of pity for a people or militant group that shells their much stronger neighbor then are surprised when that stronger enemy beats them down.

 

They don't view them as a neighbor.

The think of them as an interloper who is squatting in their house, abusing them and refusing to leave.

Israel shouldn't be there. If you wanted to create a homeland for the Jewish people, put it in Europe not smack dab in the middle of the Arab world.

We have to deal with this bullshit every few years because the British government said, "OK, we'll just carve the Jewish homeland out of existing Palestinian territory." You neglected to mention that in your short-sighted analysis andre.

I just don't understand when people argue the ME isn't the emotional and ancestral homeland of the jews.

If you don't admit the Jews have a right and legitimate claim to be in the ME, there's no starting point on any reconciliation between the Palestinians and Israel.

Actually it's the nomadic Palestinians who had no claim on any homeland or prior history as an organized state.

Judeo-Christian mythology is not a basis for modern nation building, and certainly doesn't provide an inkling of justification for what exists in Palestine today. Practice more self-honesty and admit that your arguments rest on an arbitrary interpretation of biblical fairytales, and not a meaningful understanding of international law.

The present Jews claiming Yahweh gave them Israel are actually from the Russian Caucus,Georgia to be exact. There's much more to add,but we can start from there.

 

Satyr, lets be realistic here, forget the bible here.... there is archaeolgic evidence that the Jewish people originated in caanan. Why do you ignore evidence based history and focus on the bible as the only evidence that they originated there? And why do you think that Europe would be a better place to put the Israeli community? Europe (specifically Britain) is responsible for this clusterfuck in the first place. You ever hear of the Balfour Declaration? Probably not, so why don't you start there. After reading it, look at the prior history of proposed sites for a Jewish homeland.

A portion of Kenya was the first candidate; an area of land no more or less justifiable than where Israel currently is. If Europe felt some compunction over centuries of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, create a Jewish homeland in Germany or another part of the European continent. Taking that land away from Palestine was a mistake and it's about time that America admitted it.

 

The point, as I see it, is that both are damn stubborn. When I see and talk to jewish or arabic people in Switzerland, you can see, hear and feel that both of them don't want to be integrated to the rest of the world. They focus only on their own community, whether they think now, that they are better or whether they are afraid, this is a personal interpretation. But that you don't belong to them, or that they are not interested in you, that's clear.
On the other hand, I am happy to see that the young generation appears to be more flexible, more open and more tolerant.
