China's population has blown past it's resources.

They can't technology and military out of that.

Don`t want to disrespect you... they can just buy it. Any resources, any quantity. And not having resources never stopped Europe or US on developing and having a high standard of living overall.

Example is how they are investing in Africa, on a way any western country did for the past 50 years. ( Cheap Minerals )

they are actually helping develop infrastructure on countries like Angola and so on.

Or exchanging Technology with south american countries and launching satellites all the time.

I can understand that you, as american is afraid of change, but China is coming and coming HARD.

Please refer to Loki's article please.
And yes China is coming but not at the rate people think they are there are so many misconceptions like China has most of our debt. I don't know why people seek drama so hard it'll come on its own no need to seek it out

You mean China's crash is coming HARD.

Europe or the US didn't have over a BILLION ravenous mouths to feed.

Reyling on the resources of other nations in not a wise or sustainable policy.
What happens when China has exhausted the resources of Africa and Latin American.

    Then what???

Explain to me how they can buy more water and arable farmland into existance.

    Like the saying goes:

"God bless the child that's got his OWN"

When those resources in Africa and Latin America end, the world is done anyway. Can call it the end of planet earth. And relying on resources from other countries is what Europe and US are doing for decades. Another example is Russia providing pretty much all natural gas Europe uses and desperately needs. If China crashes everyone else goes down too. And it is not about drama. Those are facts. I get it, people get uncomfortable and defensive with changes.... We know it better than anyone, rising as black men on the western world

China's simply too large to sustain their growth curve.

You can't have a nation of more than a billion people and over 700 million of them are dirt poor.

That's a formula for economic collapse.

They have less capital resources to support the needs of a country 3x the size of the U.S.

We have more than 300 million citizens in this country and IMO we're too damn big.

Wait until their military budget reach U.S. levels of spending, the red dragon will choke itself to death.

Much of the Chinese economy is dependent on exports to the richest consumer market in the world, the USA.

That's not a formula IMO for sustainable economic success.

    Truth.

China consumes more steel and concrete than any nation on earth...just to build MASSIVE ghost cities for NOBODY.

They should be using that land to feed it's people...but nope...they'd rather squander it to artificially prop up their GDP.

No, I don't. What específic article? You really think the GDP growth and steel / concrete consumption there are just about those ghost cities? If you do, I'm getting out of this conversation.

Thanks! Who is terry jones? He is a economist? And the manufacturing argument was pointless. China is by far the biggest export and manufacturing country in the world. And going up

What information do you have on the rate of GDP growth of where China was ten and five years ago in respective of growth to the United States to present time? In terms of that data, what does it tell us about future forecast growth of China to the U.S. well into this century? Thank you my friend.

Since you want to downplay the destructive effects of creating GHOST cities so large they can be seen from OUTER SPACE ...you should leave the conversation.

This is a factor yes, but if you can't see the big picture and don't dig deep on the macro economics factors, the conversation is really pointless. Thinking that a GDP that big is artificially boosted just with concrete and steel is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Seriously, any kid on a first semester economics class can do better than it. Really weak

We shouldn't discount (pun intended) China's deliberate manipulation of devaluing its yuan, thus giving it the advantage in exporting over the U.S.
