i saw a post were someone used the term "battle buddies"...and it was memorial day. so i decided to make this thread. this thread is for whatever vets and current military personnel want to discuss. for starters.....use the va hospital...you would be shocked in what medical care is available for u.
yeah. my experience has been great. now u do have to make an appt....i go to the va clinic alot and i have been at the main va hospital thats an hour away. both have been great. i saw if you are a vet and not using it.....you are missing out big time.
just make sure u get your dd214 and be ready to fill out paper work. im not sure what benefits you will get but you will get something. for me...im a disabled vet so i get alot of help
Good thread GL. Surprised none of us thought of making this thread until now. Yeah, my dad gets all of his eye exams, medication and appointments covered by the VA. Pretty awesome.
I'm a civilian but that's the way it should be. If you serve your country, you shouldn't have to worry about medical expenses ever again.
If you served then you get va treatments too....it just depends on your status on how much you pay and if you have your dd214 go to the va hospital and enroll and see what they say.

No my friend. I have many friends who are and I personally know a number of active duty military personnel in the Army and Air Force. Some whom I teach in the martial arts. They are some of the most dedicated disciplined men and women you ever want to meet. I honor them.
