I'm just sitting back watching to see just how much reactionary knuckle dragging lunacy he's allowed to pull out of his anus and get away with before he finally self destructs. Because he's gonna self destruct. If he doesn't then he deserves to be president and true reflection of what this country has become and is all about.
I agree. She was doing her job as moderator and she has nothing to apologize about. But that really goes to show how thin skinned Trump is. This elections just getting started; if he's throwing hissyfits this early he'll be in full blown meltdown mode by wintertime.
From what I've read about the debate (I don't have cable so I couldn't watch it), Jeb did not carry himself very well. I don't think he's a "lock" for the nomination like everyone thought he'd be. I think any of the other strong candidates has just as much a chance of getting the nomination as Bush. This is actually going to be a VERY interesting election season this time. No one (who was originally billed as the frontrunner of their respective parties) seems to have a lock on either party nomination. It's good to see.
Jeb was very underwhelming, and the moderators didn't even go after him as hard as some of the other candidates. They didn't necessarily give him softball questions but the ones he was given he didn't really hit out of the park. The moderators definitely had an agenda to take Trump down a few notches, though. They'd rather have Rubio or someone be the front runner.
Interesting how others saw the debate, to me Bush did a good job, not great, but good detailing his budgetary successes in Florida and setting himself apart from his dad and brother. Other than that he was just average as were most of the candidates. As far as Rubio, keep a close eye on that guy, never forget his praise of Jesse Helms per below. IMO Rubio is either incredibly clueless to say anything positive about such a vile, racist POS, or he agrees with him. "Asked to name a senator he'd like to pattern his own career after, Marco Rubio told the National Review that he really admires Jesse Helms. Yes, Helms, the late North Carolina Republican senator with notorious and well-documented racist and homophobic views. He once called the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 "the single most dangerous piece of legislation ever introduced in the Congress." But Rubio admires only his foreign policy views. Oh, brother. What's next? He'll say he really admires the economic policies of pro-segregationist Strom Thurmond? Helms once held a 16-day filibuster to try to block the establishment of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a federal holiday. He's the guy who ran one of the ugliest racially charged campaign ads in American history while seeking re-election in 1990. The ad implied that African-Americans would take white people's jobs. He repeatedly tried to block black judges from being confirmed. And he tried to block laws that expanded African-Americans' rights to vote. Oh, and let's not even get started on his views about homosexuality. He dissaproved strongly of any federal funding to fight HIV because he thought the virus was punishment for homosexual behavior. When Ryan White, a boy who contracted HIV through a blood transfusion, visited the Senate, Helms refused to acknowledge him even as the two shared an elevator. Helms, however, was known for his strong anti-Castro beliefs, which is maybe why Rubio holds him in such high regard. Here's an excerpt from the National Review: Sen. Marco Rubio sailed into office on the tea-party wave, wagging his finger at the Obama administration's fiscal mischief. But in the Senate, foreign policy has become his passion. Rubio, in an interview with National Review Online, says that the late senator Jesse Helms, the firebrand conservative from North Carolina, is his model. "Politicians are not heroes," Rubio says. "But if you look at Jesse Helms, he had a tremendous amount of influence in this place." Rubio respects how Helms fought hard as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, punching back at the princes of liberalism. Over five terms, he notes, Helms became a leading hawk. Helms's racist views influenced his foreign policy as well. He chaired the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, a committee on which Rubio now sits. Helms supported apartheid in South Africa. He was also notorious for his avid support of numerous right-wing dictators throughout South and Central America, including Chile's Augusto Pinochet.
......see, just look at the microcosmic effect on this forum .......Everyone is so pre-occupied with Trump and his wretchedness that we can't bring our selves to talk about the virtues and electibility of a Clinton / Sanders ticket. ........and how it would be better for America. ......
U are such a conservative. U guys Whine and play victim. Hell lets be honest .... you was cosigning hid bafoonery for a long time....even when he was shitting on vets.
Hey man, I MIGHT agree with you. ..but give me some encouragement ......What can I look forward to in a Clinton / Sanders presidency. .....what will they do different to improve the life of GL....
Hillary consistently leads ALL candidates in ALL polls....she is most likely our next president. ...I am suprised that as a Democratic, you cannot cite a single cause of optimism to look forward in her presidency. .......What can we expect from Hillary Goodlove ?....
Well, that's probably because the title of this thread is GOP Debate on Fox This Week and neither Clinton nor Sanders were a part of that debate. Of course, the fact that you keep trying to change the topic from the clown car that is the current GOP field of nominees to Hillary Clinton is pretty entertaining. So, you have that going for you.
Damn, I definitely didn't know that Rubio was a fan of Jesse Helms. I wonder why he doesn't talk more about that? As a Republican it certainly isn't going to hurt him in the primaries. Hell, he may even gain a few points. Of the Republicans at the debate I was the most impressed by John Kasich and he barely made the cut for this debate. I was really unimpressed by Ben Carson, though. Maybe part of it was nerves but it's pretty obvious that he has no grasp at all on foreign policy.
Its obvious a conservative cant read. I said she shouldnt be prez due to the integrity issue ...the email scandal and her relationship with wall street. The question what do u guys have?
Shut up, Archman. I don't want to even read someone speculating that BS artist known as Hillary will be our next President. Among other scandals.
All we have is 17 small timers bidding for the single nomination. ....but we will accept the realistic counsel of you and Bookie and turn our faith to Bernie Sanders. ........ Bernie is the man. .. ...
The only person I know who I am NEVER voting for is Hillary. Who I end up voting for is up for grabs right now. :smt023 I could say the same thing about many Democrats. The truth is many people have such strict ideologies (on both sides) that they would NEVER EVER vote for a candidate of another party no matter how good that candidate is, and THAT is not a good thing. People should be looking at the candidates and not their party affiliations.
