I was bored and your comment perked me up. What can I say? And besides, if you admit to being disagreeable, what's the problem with my post? You really can't complain, TDK. I'm rarely here any more. But when I am, I aim to make it memorable.
Congratulations! You've learned this without spending a million dollars on law school and divorce clients. So ... you're a veteran? Hot .. Where? What branch? I'm consumed ...
I too am a problem solver and a military veteran; don't think I have a "hero complex" but I get what you are saying. One of the few women that I was ever serious about was this type of woman. I think she felt that she had to manipulate me in order to keep me interested. Ironically that's what kept me from falling in love with her even though I wanted to at the time. When I think about it now it seems to be of poor taste for someone studying psychology to use it against their SO, but it was largely due to her low esteem issues. That was something I never understood about her because she had no reason to have low self esteem unless that was just part of her facade used for manipulation. The good thing about it was that she was the only woman of that character that I was ever involved with so it did not turn into a pattern for me. You on the other hand may want to avoid women with psychology degrees. Of course most of them are not abusive but it would seem to be too much of a risk for you. To the ones that are manipulative you probably are a target that they can see coming from a mile away.
