As long as I can remember I've always known Americans for the majority to hold on to Hitler's standard of beauty ... 1. Blonde hair 2. Blue eyes 3. Fair skin It just seems very strange that through the years it's still considered to be the most desired look of an American, even though this man was a murderer and a racial supremacist. I see so many dyed-blonde-headed female carbon copies of the adopted Hitler standard of beauty. I'm very concerned about that mindstate of America as a whole.
Well I don't there is anything wrong with people who have blonde hair/blue eyes and fair skin. I think society as a whole needs to think of different women as attractive and slowly its coming...alot of people think brunettes are attractive and currently there are many many beautiful bw and latinas in the public eye so I do think the standard of beauty is changing.
Beauty standards are more about making money for the beauty industry today than they are about racial superiority. Just because a person has or likes blond hair and blues eyes means little in the overall picture. The idea that you can not be a “True All American” unless you have blond hair and blue eyes is the real but oftentimes unspoken belief that we need to guard against. The truth of the matter is there are some very good looking women with blond hair and blue eyes and acknowledging that fact is not racist. To believe that those physical attributes are naturally better is a problem. You know that Bro.Justin.
I have to say, I get what you're saying here, but having blone hair/blue eyes/fair skin, isn't always confoming to a ideology of racial supremacy in every case with every person.

There are few things more insulting that saying someone is in any way wanting to be like Hitler. American women may dye their hair blonde but it sure has nothing to do with the mindset of Hitler. Think about it..My family is 100% Scandanavian. My sister takes after the more fair scandanavians, I take after the brunettes.. so are you saying that because my sister is blonde and has blue eyes she has the mindset of Hitler? no offense.. but that is BS and stereotyping.. And women who dye their hair blonde.. that probably has a hell of a lot more to do with Hollywood.. and the hype Blondes have more fun... Not to mention a lot of men seem to prefer blondes!

Well..Our Current President's Grandfather was one of Hitler's Bankers.. Nazis are very anti-labor and anti miiddle-class.. The U.S has never..nor will ever..have a woman or a Black president..hell..even GERMANY has a female head honcho.. After WWII the U.S recruited whole-hog the entire Nazi secret service.. even war criminals that should have been hanged in Nuremberg for war crimes.. I don't think anyone is denying that Neo-Nazis are alive and well. The question was: is America holding on to Nazi like views when we say that blond hair and blue eyed people are beautiful? Does America push the blond and blue standard of beauty for reasons of racial superiority? As a side note: If we never elect a female or black president, it's because we won't get off of our asses and vote. When I say "we" I'm not saying black people... I mean ALL of us that want change.

Well, being German I am probably a bit more careful about this whole Hitler talk. To me it's a pretty strong offense to say somebody is dying their hair because they want to look the way Hitler defined beauty!!!!!!!! I don't live in the US so I cannot comment on Neonazis there. But I think people were fond of blond even before Hitler came to power. Blondes were always represented as special, beautiful and all those other cliches that go with being blond. If wanting to be blond has something to do with Hitler, how come girls in those countries that used to be Germany's enemies also dye their hair blond (like England, Eastern European countries, even Turkish girls living in Germany, Italians...u can find wanna be blondes everywhere!!). They sure don't want to give any tribute to Hitler!! I think wanting to be blond has to do more with a beauty ideal that was created over time. People that are represented as beautiful in the media are often blond so that influences society. As for Germany I can say that "the Latin look" is what people want to have now. It's like poeple always wanna have what they don't. Many Germans are naturally blond, so they admire brunettes with dark eyes and darker complection. Maybe in the US it's the other way round, I don't know. But personally I don't like it when women dye their hair from dark to blond because to me the natural look is always most beautiful and one should be proud of it. However, I once heard there is a US band called "Prussian Blue" or something like that. They plublically sing racist, pro-Nazi songs. People were so shocked over here it went through all the media and we just couldn't believe the government isn't doing anything about that kind of nonsense. So considering that people are singing such crap without anybody bothering them there may also be some who want to be blond for racist reasons. But that doesn't mean it applies to everyone.
There is a bit of correlation here with this statement regarding the standarized beauty expectations of Hitler.
