I have always thought of interracial dating as a lifestyle. I didn't imply that it had anything to do with fetish, swinging, cuckoldry and the like.

Yah...that's REALLY a turnoff. Check Madeline's response. We are living our lives and have families...nothing unusual about it. My children aren't part of a "lifestyle", or a product of one.

Lifestyle is a term that is routinely used for people who are doing something like I described. Many of them will gladly say they are part of the "lifestyle". I've heard people say things such as oh well yes but she's not "in the lifestyle" or "he's been in the lifestyle for 20 years now"....or whatever. It's a very common term used in particular sexual "lifestyles". I don't think it's a good idea to use it in regards to IR - it feeds the crap we don't want to be adding to.

Well...maybe for some it's a lifestyle and they are playing it like a game. For me it's just the way my life went. Anyone who is in a serious interracial relationship is living real life, not indulging in jungle fever or whatever.
