Everything Trump is doing is establishing a precedent for the next POTUS who may be more skilled at circumventing the federal government and is checks and balances.

In the summer and fall of 2016, the FBI and CIA were spying on Russian diplomats and operatives when a curious thing happened.

During that surveillance they found an unusual number of Trump campaign officials were on the other end of those communications.
Add the fact that U.S. intel had collected information that Russian intel hacked the DNC servers and that data was later released on Wikileaks, all in an effort to benefit the Trump campaign, and collectively U.S. intel realized they had a problem and informed Obama.

 

It's so crazy how Trump's sexual transgressions make JFK and Bill Clinton look like rank amateurs.
