No. He means that coming to America, despite how we got here, has been very good to blacks in the long term. I do not see that as racist.
Seems we will not see eye to eye on this particular point, have you had time to google other articles on him?
Look. I've heard what he's said on race issues many times, and he's not racist to me. He's just not wallowing and holding his head in shame over what's happened in the past. In other words, he's not wracked with white guilt.
Seems we will remain at odds on this as well. I have no interest in promoting white guilt or remaining stuck in the past, my life is a testament to hard work and achievement. However several years ago, Buchanan said he felt tempted to "sue that David Duke for intellectual property theft" how you can read that and not say he is racist is beyond rational thought in my opinion. He supports and affiliated with many racists organizations. You are known by the company you keep. And racism/islamaphobia has everything to do with people supporting war in oil rich countries. Our governments objective is oil, they use fear mongering and racism to get people to support them. Much like you Dex. The only time you seem to be in favor of war is when it is against Islamic countries.
So because some racists may agree with Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan, that means Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan are racist:roll:? So I'm supposed to agree with the neocon interventionist foreign policy because some opponents of it don't like nonwhites and Jews? Yeah, okay, whatever  And you don't know what you're talking about. I don't support wars against any nation who has never harmed the US. Iraq, Iran, Syria have never harmed the US. What you're talking about is Israel. They are an independent country. They can do what they want to. It's not for America to dictate to or support any nation, No matter which nation it is. It's America's job to protect and defend America. You try to smear me as some Islamophobic nutcase. Have you even read what I've have to say about Iran? Probably not. It's doesn't fit your idiotic logic about me. Go home, lady. You're delusional
Fly girl makes very sound points in my opinion, no need to call her names just because you disagree with her Dex. It seems a shame that someone like yourself who clearly has intelligence and with whom I share at least some common ground (favor smaller government, and self reliance) seems to respect, admire and reference those that would seek to do you harm, once again in my opinion, such as Paul and Buchannon. There are other, much less controversial conservatives who are inclusive of all who you may wish to familiarize yourself with. Fly girl, you can lead a horse to water, but........
I like Obama's approach to AF, but I don't agree with the part of his plan that sends mega bucks to PAK. He is making the same mistake as Bush did here. PAK is not much of an ally to us, in fact, they are harboring AL-Q. At a minimum we should stop funding PAK. Too bad Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, I really respected her and I think she would have been a powerful ally.
She didn't make any valid points. She said that I oppose wars unless they're against her precious Islam. What the hell religion does she think Pakistan is? Jewish? How about Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia? Are they suddenly Roman Catholic now? I called her delusional and her logic idiotic because that's what it is if that's what she believes about me. I support Buchanan and Paul because of their stand on the issues (Buchanan pretty much only for his views on foreign policy). Whether they in their heart like or dislike blacks, Jews, Muslims or others, is not really my concern. However, I've heard no racism, antisemitism, or Islamophobia from either of them.
In many ways, this is why i've pretty much tried to avoid making contributions on serious (and often contentious) issues - it eventually leads to an insultfest, with petty bickering and unfounded accusations. It's like we can't have a genuine disagreement without some folks getting their panties up in a bunch.
