Anyone remember Alvin Greene? If not, here's a little synopsis: - He ran against (and lost to) Senator Jim DeMint by 60% of the vote in South Carolina. - He became the Democratic candidate by acquiring around 60% of the vote against a more experienced political person, Vic Rawls. - He did NO ADVERTISING, NO FACEBOOK PAGE, NO POLITICAL PAGE, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! - He also has a felony charge relating to showing an 18 year old college student pornography. Anyway, since the election, he decided not to accept a plea deal and instead prefer to go on trail. And the reaction is ever so obvious.
This is a misuse of the court If I understand this correctly. From what I gathered, he showed the girl some porn. I mean honestly the woman is probably not a virgin so she has seen worse than whatever he showed her. We should be prosecuting murders and such. not a guy who showed porn.
Agreed. And this girl was 18 at the time anyway when this occurred, so there shouldn't be such a heinous crime on this part at all. I will cry racism in this because I'm quite sure if a white guy were to do that to her either: A) She would get creeped out, but will do nothing further. B) Ignore him altogether.
I have to agree with you. There were too many forces acting against Greene during the 2010 elections. South Carolina is a Republican stronghold, and it will always be one for a long time.
You don't have the right to show someone pornography without that persons permission. I don't care if the girl was 18, under age, etc. The accuser has every right to bring him to trial, and should.
No one said it's a "right", yet he did NOT FORCE her, nor coerced her into watching it. This is complete bullshit and clearly overblown by the South Carolina judicial system.
