Karmacoma said that because I'm not a liberal (I'm libertarian) I hate being black. He believes that anyone who's not liberal is racist . So I put the question to all of you. What do you think?
I'd say no. Didn't he mean if you were Republican? But no - you seem like a happy individual that does not hate himself.
Ok Dex, How do Libertarians and Republicans differ? Smaller gov't, less taxes etc...sounds the same?? And another thing, and this is not political, about the idea of hating being black. I dated a black man once who stated that of all the different kinds of women in the world he is least attracted to black women (preferred asian or caucasion), I understand preferences etc, but I don't know how this is possible when you are raised with black women, you have daughters who are black (so apparantly he was with black women in younger days), yet does not date (rejects) black women..it struck me that it seems that it is a true rejection of ones culture and is this some kind of self hatred. Is there some correlation between dating ww as a consequence of rejecting your own self? I have read many men on this site say they don't prefer culture over the womans character and heart etc, but what do you think???:smt102
I don't think someone who doesn't date their own race, or is not so attracted to their own race hates themselves and hates being the race they are (wow that sounds confusing). If I'm honest I'm much much much much less attracted to white men than black men. Infact, I can't at this point in my life see myself attracted to a white man, I'm not ruling out the possibillity of dating a white guy forever however. I don't hate being white. I wouldn't want to be black. I don't hate myself or white men, I'm just not so attracted to them. No biggie.
Karmacoma and flaminghetero, are just a couple of paranoid black supremacists with major chips on their shoulders. They think everything is racial and caused by racism. It's really sad. It doesn't look like Karma has learned that people are people, not a race/color. As long as we're talking about what someone else has said about us: I was told that flaminghetero said something mentioning that my man is in prison and I'm fat so what white guy would want me. It was deleted before I could see it. I just want to say to flaminghetero that I'm sorry he doesn't understand that I don't abandon people I love because they made a bad choice. To try and insult me by pointing out where my man is in a futile attempt to offend me isn't going to work. I'll never be ashamed of my man, I've known him for almost 10 years, and he's a very awesome person. He's still so much better than you flaminghetero. At least he's man enough not to blame what he's done and what's happened to him on his race and white people and is man enough to accept responsibility for his own setbacks. At least he's man enough to know how to respect women and different people I don't think that's something flaminghetero can say. You also can't offend me by pointing out my body type, LoL. I can always lose weight, but flaminghetero, I'm afraid, will always be the sad, misguided individual he comes off as being on here. I think that'd be a worse fate than having a few extra pounds I can shed quite easily. As far as implying no white guy wants me, LoL, that's totally fine with me. I have the man I want. So it really doesn't matter at all or whatsoever. Even if I was single - white guys aren't my flavor. You can think someone is attractive without wanting to be with them. That's all I have to say, it'll probably get deleted but oh well. It was nice venting. Anyways Dex, ignore Karmacoma, he'll never compare to the man that you are. He can't hold a candle to you.
I think only you can answer the question of whether or not you hate yourself. And I doubt you do hate yourself. And he's on some dumb shit if he said that. He really is on some other shit.
Don't worry about him Britty - you're a beautiful smart young woman (inside and out) and I respect you so much for standing by your man. I know what he said probably doesn't even bother you because you're stronger than that but seriously, he's a fool and doesn't even know you enough to make such a stupid judgement. Just let him waste his life blaming others for his own mistakes. It's funny that he called you racist when he seems to blame all his misfortunes on us white devils.
Well to the question= Do you hate yourself ? Id have to say no based on you and your posts. Pay no heed to people that imply that you do, they are jealous that they aren't the well adjusted person you are. Whats going on with everyone just lately, things are getting bad if people are attacking Dex. (unbelievable):smt101
Thank you all. I don't hate myself. I enjoy who I am very much. I asked the question in jest to prove a point. The point was the absurdity of someone being bigoted just because of their political views and, more importantly, the absurdity of someone assuming that they know what's in another person's heart.
There are plenty of differences actually. Like with personal freedoms. I hate the Patriot Act and warrantless surveillance. Then there's the foreign policy stuff. I frown upon imposing our will on other nations and dictating to them. We should have never been in Iraq. Guantanamo Bay is an embarrassment. I think the War on Drugs has been a disaster as well. I think women should be allowed to do what they want with their bodies. I think gays and lesbians should be free to marry if they choose. So there are real differences I don't really know. I can only speak for myself that I never considered dating outside of my race to be a rejection of myself. If I didn't like myself, then I don't see how I could be with anyone, regardless of their race Women of all colors are beautiful to me. I have mostly dated white women because of my musical tastes. I started listening to rock/metal music and going to concerts in when I started high school. Almost all of the metal fans at my high school were white, so I befriended them. And, of course, the female metal fans were white as well, so I started liking them too
Was Karmacoma smokin something when he said that ?! LOL That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. What does liberal or conservative have to do with being a racist or not. It doesn't.
Dex the real question is why you felt you had to put it to the board and get people to co-sign. That says to me that you doubt yourself and your (weak) political position. If you were confident you were right, like I am, you wouldn't have to seek reinforcement elsewhere from people who you know are sympathetic towards you. BTW "Libertarian" is basically conservatism without the racist stigma, just so you know. Also, part of the Libertarian creed is "state's rights." "State's rights" is what the segregated South invoked when their racist practices were called into question by the Federal Government. So basically, this is what you're championing by being a so-called "Libertarian." Congratulations, black man! Being a Dem on the other hand, stands for FDR (the WPA), Harry S. Truman (desegregated the Armed Forces), JFK (civil rights act), LBJ (war on poverty), Bill Clinton (8 years of peace, prosperity and no terrorist attacks on the homeland). I'll stand under that banner all day. And sorry, Britty, but you calling me a "black supremacist" doesn't erase the racist posts you made during the presidential campaign about black people voting for Obama just because he was black or to "change history." This when Obama got more white votes than Gore in 2000 or Kerry in 2004, not to mention the Republican votes he got, turning red states blue. Actually, your posts weren't as much out-and-out racist as typical simple-minded hillbilly logic, so maybe I was harsh for calling you the r-word. My bad on that one. I might be getting a bit too historical and deep for some of you, all I can say is read slow.
Hold on, I'm still reading ...... Ok, I'm done now. You used too many big words Karma :smt081 Well I'll admit I didn't know what Libertarian meant, I haven't even heard the term used too often. I was thinking more along Liberal and Conservative.
Everyone has their own choice of who they are. being liberal does not make you a racist person. I believe if you know who you are then that is all that matters.
You're wrong. I don't doubt myself or my beliefs in the slightest. I posted this because I wanted to point out the absurdity of your argument that being anything other than liberal is being racist As much as this is going to pain you, libertarianism stands against segregation in those southern states which had the laws that kept black people powerless. There were the laws mandating separate drinking fountains and for black and whites, the laws preventing blacks and whites from marrying each other, the laws making blacks sit in the back of the bus, the Poll Tax, and the Grandfather Clause. Since you support more government, the "congratulations" belongs to you FDR: is responsible for getting America involved in a war which had nothing to do with us, which cost us over 400,000 of our soldiers. The New Deal didn't do anything to end the Depression. The Depression only ended when we entered the war. So 400k Americans had to die to end the Depression. Truman: invaded Korea, which led to over 35,000 of our soldiers dead. He also said that non-aligned nations were just really tools of Moscow. He wasn't very peaceful LBJ: provoked the "Gulf of Tonkin Incident", which led to that "police action" in Vietnam, which led to 58,000 American dead and millions of Vietnamese dead. Why don't you go to Vietnam and tell them how Great LBJ was? Clinton: invaded Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, bombed a baby milk factory in Sudan claiming al-Qaida terrorists were there, bombed Iraq regularly, and ruthlessly kept in place crippling sanctions, which killed thousands of innocent Iraqis. Oh, and I forgot to mention that he invaded the Balkans again. None of these nations harmed us in any way, but your boy Clinton didn't seem to care. He wasn't so peaceful when you look at his record instead of viewing it through your Democratic glasses By the way, you forgot about the first World Trade Center attack in 1993. Who do you think was President then? Ding, ding, ding, Bill Clinton. Where was the World Trade Center located? If you guess New York, you're correct. Did you know that New York is located in the USA, Karma? I think I would consider that an "attack on the homeland". I think you're the simple-minded one if you think that there weren't people who voted for Obama because he's black or Clinton or McCain because they're white. Did you even bother to pay any attention to the primaries? The vast majority of blacks favored Obama over Clinton. Why was that? There were no major policy differences between the two candidates. So what was the reason, Mr. Karma?
The reason why the U.S. entered WWII is because we were bombed by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor. And contrary to the opinions of some, the New Deal did end The Great Depression. Our GDP centers around consumption, investment and government spending; when two of the three aren't going like now the economy suffers. The government had to invest in infrastructural projects for us to see the light of day out of the Depression and will have to do the same to prevent the current recession from bottoming out into another Depression. link Note: I am not a Democrat nor am I interested in engaging in a debate over the merits of libertarian philosophy, just setting the record straight.
