Drinking,driving,electing president and joining military age

    This is what I found on another site posted by an American about legal ages for the activities listed below.What does everyone think about the legal ages for each listed activity?Does it make sense?How would you set the legal ages if you were to decide?

    "I can drive a car that kills thousands of Americans each year at the tender age of 16.

    I can buy a cigarette that the Surgeon General says will kill me and others over time at 18.

    I can join the military at 17 with my parents permission and get my balls blown off in Iraq.

    A young lady can STILL STRIP at 18 and no one sees anything wrong with that.

    I can vote for the president of the United States which some might say is our most fundamental right as Americans yet I can't have a beer at 18."

    Sad but true. In the US a 18 year old adult can own a house and do almost everything else but drink.
