A crisis that Obama didn’t even acknowledge existed for NINE whole days, and one he didn’t PUBLICLY respond to for 39 WHOLE days, because he was too busy hitting the golf links!
The only REASON he was forced out of his cubby-hole to even make a public address to the nation was because he was SHAMEFULLY EMBARRASSED the night before by fellow democrat James Carver, who blasted his ass on National TV BEGGING him to "effin do something!!"

What does he do the very next day in his first ever public address to the country on it?? He quotes Malia interrupting him shaving to ask daddy if he’s plugged the hole yet!? Bush's response was horrible all by itself. I don't think there was one American whose visceral reaction wasn't complete angst and exasperation for the Bush's Govt to do something! And while the 5 days it took him to visit the damage Katrina caused might not seem long in general terms, at the time minutes were like days to the nation.

No-one in Obama's administration is is really giving a shit about Iowa and Missouri's own "Katrina". More homes are under water...but so what, eh.

ps: fyi, the Pres declared Iowa's MAY 25th flooding a Disaster...just 4 days ago. How kind.
