Who's the pirate, the person who goes through the trouble of copying said intellectual property in the pursuit of profit (hey, that's business), or the person who illegally downloads or purchases (most likely on a street corner) said material to watch it without the true artists getting paid for their work. Aren't you a photographer by the way?? I don't have a problem with competition, which is really all China is doing, finding ways to compete with America. It doesn't help that right now, they are kinda at an advantage ( we muthafuckin owe em money), but American propaganda will as usual make them out to be the devil in disguise, out to kill every democratically minded individual on earth (hyperbole?).
