That was an interesting read Tony, and I agree with the implausibility of reconciling Biblical scripture with conservative political views. Unfortunately I know quite a few ultra-conservative Christians and I guarantee you if Jesus showed up on their doorsteps, they'd call the police and Homeland Security to ensure he was put on the terrorist watch list based upon his likely appearance alone. It always amuses me that they all seem to think he'd be seeking them out, but anyone who read the Bible and was actually able to comprehend what they read knows he'd be hanging out with the homeless, the poor, the AIDS patients... in other words the people a lot of conservatives would consider the undesirables.
