Simple put how do you feel about her show? I wish i could have heard her radio show before Air America died. I find there to be a lot more in depth conversation in political radio. My personal opinion, she's grown on me a lot. First off, I've always gotten along with lesbians, and i really don't know why. She is probably the smartest woman broadcaster EVER. Seriously, being a Rhode scholar backs up that statement. I thought she was just another Keith Olbermann, who is completely biased and predictable to boot, which lessens his rep as a trustworthy journalist. Yes, i know there's a "How great is Keith Olbermann" thread also, but he is no different from Sean Hannity or Bill O'reilly, just for the opposite side. Rachel on the other hand however, calls out republican's on their blatant lies AND backs it up. I'd be lying if I said she didn't dip into the same leftist posturing as Olbermann, but she usually saves that for the later segments of her hour. She's also very fair to guests from the opposing view and lets them have their say. They're also usually digging their own grave's at the same time because she ALWAYS knows the topic at hand and how to make them look silly afterwards. Power to ya, Rachel. We need more you and far less Soledad O'brien.... Bitch thinks she's Black, Hispanic, White, Asian, and Russian and an expert at being all at the same time...
None of the people you mentioned are journalists, and neither is Rachel Maddow. They are all political commentators. Real journalists have gone the way of the dinosaur. Frankly, I'm astonished that most people don't understand this fact. All of the people that you see daily on cable news are either pundits, political operatives, corporate shills or models who do a respectable job of reading off of teleprompters. On topic. I'm a huge Rachel Maddow fan. I have been since I first heard her when she had a one hour show on Air America that came on at 5 am. She's easily the most astute and most honest political commentator in the American media.
Despite some of her political views I like her. She does make some rather strong arguments in which I do agree with her. There is something about a brainy intelligent woman that turns me on.
I'm not a fan of hers or olberman. I'd rather watch O'reilly. Soledad was doing good in black in america but went elite in black in america 2. Quit focusing on rich black people and start concentrating on the issues that plague this country.
They don't focus on bourgie black people enough. If they did, young people wouldn't think the only way to get rich is by rapping or dribbling a basketball.
I agree she is just another Keith, even her mannerism which is a distraction to me, that's why I can't stand to watch her show. Her copy cat version is just to weird for me. She is like a man version of Keith in a woman trying to imitate a man in a woman's body:?
