Great presentation by the gentleman from NY, he makes some really good points. I suppose that one could counter argue that if medicaid and medicare both work fine (providing health care to senior citizens and those in poverty), then don't tamper with it any further. Good find webmaster.
The thing about paying for everybody is that it takes more money. More Government programs means higher taxes. I think it is dishonest to try to rush something like this through.
Having seen the pros and BIG cons of the Canadian system up close and personal, my father-in-law had to wait 3 months for surgery to repair a 95% blockage in one of his main arteries, I think we need to see a lot more detail, regarding coverage, costs to the taxpayers, and how efficient the new system could be.
