Just one of many reasons why I loath the republicans so much.

Nothing I wouldn't expect from them. They wonder why the average black person has NOTHING to do with that party.

wasnt exactly the way I would have penned it

    but effective nonetheless

    lol

we're trying to move away from the dark shadow of racism and oppression over our people, after all...

commentary about Michelle like that, is just another way to not only put the Obamas down, but black people down in general.

There are more important things to worry about

You are going to get these kinds of comments you have to expect. it I myself an Guilty of calling George Bush Jr the Smirking chimp and his mom Barbra the quaker oats man does that make me a racist no its my oppinion we still have them in America. I have been called names before and it does not phase me cause I will not let it. I say let it go there are bigger issues to deal with in America like unemployment why wasn't anyone complaining when we pulled troops out of Afghanistan to send to Iraq? Why weren't we complaining about our troops being in Iraq instead of New Orleans during Katrina??? Where are our priorities? Theres Homelessness Sexual Predators Immigration forclosures healthcare these are things we should be complaining about not some third grade name calling.

Even when the GOP has good talking points and worthwhile ideas, they always have someone that puts his/her foot in their mouth and they end up screwing themselves over...this is why diversity is important...dumb comments like this are a reflection of someone that doesn't hate black people but rather is used to not having to interact with people that don't look like him in his personal life.

Steve, check this out. Yesterday Rep.Steve King R-Iowa was the lone person who voted against having a plaque at the Capitol Visitors Center which said the Capitol Building was built by slaves. Republicans and Conservatives opposing anything of Black advancement in the last 45 years.
