Steele offers Jindal 'slum love'


In an interview with Curtis Sliwa on ABC Radio last night, the host and RNC Chairman Michael Steele jokingly linked Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal to the film "Slumdog Millionaire." Steele offered Jindal "slum love.
Here's the transcript:

SLIWA: Now, using a little bit of that street terminology, are you giving him any Slum love, Michael?
STEELE: (laughter)
SLIWA: Because he is — when guys look at him and young women look at him — they say oh, that's the slumdog millionaire, governor. So, give me some slum love.
STEELE: I love it. (inaudible) ... some slum love out to my buddy. Gov. Bobby Jindal is doing a friggin' awesome job in his state. He's really turned around on some core principles — like hey, government ought not be corrupt. The good stuff ... the easy stuff.

Michele Bachmann Tells Michael Steele: "You Be Da Man!"


After a long day at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele gave a speech asserting that the party is "alive and well."
Although he emphasized that the conservative movement must become a revolution and transform America, he conceded that the party had made mistakes: "We know the past, we know we did wrong. My bad. But we go forward in appreciation of the values that brought us to this point."
According to CNN, Steele was then praised by Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.

As Steele concluded his remarks, Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann -- the event's moderator -- told Steele he was "da man."
"Michael Steele! You be da man! You be da man," she said.

They should just start calling each other "nigga" and "homeslice"--you know they really want to.

 

Or maybe even "homeskillet", "road dawg", or "patna". Talk about being completely out of ideas and out of touch.

If this weren't so blatantly transparent and silly, I might actually take offense to how condescending and cynical it is that they actually believe that they can appeal to younger voters and minorities by mangling a bunch of urban slang rather than trying to address our concerns. Steele is making a goddamn fool of himself, and I'm going enjoy watching him go down in flames when the rest GOP tires of having him in a purported position of authority.

 

I thought the look on Chuck Ds face when Steele is first speaking is hillarious.

Steele Apologizes To Limbaugh, Praises His Leadership

In the new game of chicken between Michael Steele and Rush Limbaugh, the loser is...Michael Steele, who now says he never meant to diminish the voice and leadership of Limbaugh.
In an interview with the Politico, Steele said: "My intent was not to go after Rush - I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh. I was maybe a little bit inarticulate...There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership."
This comes after Limbaugh tore into Steele for declaring on CNN that Rush isn't a leader of the Republican Party, but is an "entertainer" whose rhetoric is "incendiary" and "ugly."
"I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren't what I was thinking," said Steele. "It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently."



It didn't take long for the so-called leader of the Republican Party to bow down to the real leader of the party. Steele should be ashamed of himself for waffling and kissing that bloated, bloviating bigot's ass. He's proving exactly what many of the people who were skeptical of his selection as RNC Chairman have said from the start: that he's an empty suit and his selection was a cheap gimmick in direct response to Obama's election.

 

The CPAC event was just short of a Klan rally and the "Head" of the Republican party just put Michael Steele in his place.

I must still ask this question of Mr. Steele: How will you get black people to your party?

 

Steele,went on the talk shows and kissing butts like Hannity and Limbaugh who "whipped" him into submission. Hip-Hop?!! More like gangsta rap.
