Waiting on God(Jesus the Messiah)

I am waiting on Messiah to return as he says in scripture. We praise HIm, Jesus Lord of all, and watch and wait for HIM.

There's no rule against that, of course, but perhaps you should wait for people's input to make it a more productive conversation. Only a suggestion.

 

its been up for weeks, so i dont think that others are writing anything. they can if they choose I am sure, but they havent.

Slavery is a moral wrong, but teaching people the saving grace of Jesus Christ is absolute the right thing that was done.

What does Jesus Christ "save" people from?

 

Jesus Christ was sent to earth by God the father, to save a sinful and fallen world from their sins. He was persecuted, crucified to pay the ransom for our sins, he shed his Holy Blood--as the sinless lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. So that those who believe that He is the Messiah God who died and was buried and was resurrected to life by God the Father, shall have life eternal!!!

what i'm getting at is that these concepts you mention are very symbolic. how would you physically demonstrate these ideas to the vast majority of people who don't see the world as you do?

 

i dont know what is symbolic really, i am answering the question which you asked. It is daily living of the word of God which is the Bible, that I share the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also am obedient to his word and work to care for the poor, homeless and hungry in my midst. His word tells the world of sin through the laws of Moses to the grace of Jesus Christ through the blood shed on the cross for remission of sins.

 

I`m from Africa...and my ancestors had their own beliefs and religions...missionaries came to Africa, forced the "living word of God" down our throat, told us their god was God...and our gods were...well...nothing...and now most of the Africans just pray that your god will come and deliver them from the misery in which...interestingly, the same "white people" mostly put them in!...They wait for Jesus instead of working harder, fighting harder for their rights and earning their own daily bread!

Another funny (read SAD) thing: your Bible has been written, re-written, lost, found, re-re-re-written, influenced by the origins, beliefs or the different writers, etc...

To me, even though it is a book of wisdom, it surely ain`t the "living word of God" and Christians should learn not to read it literally but rather as a big metaphor...which is what it really IS!!

 

because it is our(christians)faith, and our religious book, it is interesting that you can tell us that it just a book of wisdom and not the True word of God. that is like whites telling blacks they are not blacks at all, but something entirely different. It is cute. 8)

The Bible is the true living word of God, whether some men have used it and tried to distort it. It has been translated and retranslated and transcribed but it is the same word of the Living God, Jehovah that it has been from the beginning. That is what faith is. If you dont believe it then that is because you do not, but we as Christians do. I dont tell Muslims that their Koran is not their holy book, and I dont expect them to tell me what my Holy Book is.

U could certainly tell me that if I hadn't`t been born a Presbyterian, with a father that is an elder in the church. You could certainly tell me that if I hadn't`t spent nearly 10 years in the Pentecostal Church, during most of which I was a praise band leader and one of the leader of the youth group.
You could certainly tell me that if I hadn't`t read the Bible entirely at least three times, besides reading it in the Bible study groups.

I never heard of anyone being born a Presbyterian, that is a religion, I am not talking religion, I am talking faith in Jesus Christ. Born again, with Christ as savior and Lord. NOt talking about what position one has in the church, what people who call themselves Christians do or did, but What Christ has done for the World. Died for the remission of our sins. Nothing to do with religion or a church. I didnt become a Christian until I accepted Christ as my personal savior. Not born anything.

 

There is a huge difference between a god and the creator. A god can be created by men and the creator is the All.

By creating a thoughtform through occult means through feeding the entity with energy by such means as sex rituals, blood sacrifices, herbs, roots, vibratory sounds(mantras), extreme emotional energy, thoughts you can give a thoughtform sentience. Over a period of time the entity will grow in strength and eventually grow more powerful than the humans that created it and it will start to govern over the lives of it's creator/s. Over time people will forget that the god? was a created being and will assume that it was always there.

One giveaway that a god is not the Creator is that it will ask for BLOOD. It needs the life force of things to survive. The Creator doesn't because it is the life force itself!!

Think about the holy books in which god asks for blood in one form or another. Could Yahweh be a demi-god/the demiurge.. a god under the Creator?
