Sure am. That would probably be the first thing they'd do. The Constitution and Bill of Rights wouldn't apply. No Federal troops to make sure black folks can get in school/public places. Think about it.

 

You know that's not gonna happen. Texas is about half non-white, so I seriously doubt that the Texas government will be able to pass these Jim Crow laws that you speak of even if they wanted to

Okay i've had some interesting philosophical differences with you and am fine with an opposing point of view, but that's one of the most daft statements I've heard for a long time. You do know that during the pre-bellum South in which slavery was legal, more than half of the Confederate states had majority black populations. Did that prevent the white slavemasters from carrying out their horrific practices?

I'm not instigating that Texas is about to make a return to those days, but it's incumbent on you to think things through before making statements like that because it betrays a lack of grasp of important artifacts.

 

I understand that. But you would do well to remember that this is not 1850. Slavery is long gone. Nonwhites are not powerless. They have the same rights as any other citizens. And it is not any different in Texas
