Thank you all for your advise/support. I did have a conversation with him, and he was extremely defensive..There is a saying from William Shakespeare "Me thinks thou dost protest too much." In other words, when someone insists so strongly about something not being true, people begin to suspect maybe it is true. In any case, I am hurt. I lost sleep last night over this. I do love him. But I don't need this drama. I need an ego boost right now. Any men interested in dating me or getting to know me?
Get your profile back up on that dating site, girl. Even if your heart isn't in it right now, just getting some attention will help you move past this. I don't envy you this. Stuff like this just plain down hurts. Hugs to you. :freehug:
Not "officially." Apparently he was playing me. He just wanted to fuck. But he shouldn't have said or acted like he loved me.
Being active on a dating site after telling you he loves you? :smt011 I know the truth hurts, but this guy is not worth your time. You deserve and will find someone better!
Qt, William Shakespeare also wrote these quotes as they may apply to your boyfriend; "I to my business and you to yours. For every man has business, such as it is." - Hamlet "I'll have her. But I'll not keep her long." - Richard lll Don't be a doormat. I understand and appreciate your feelings for him. But, if a man is unable to give his girlfriend a straight answer, he is either very scared, or lying. Here is another quote. But it is not from Shakespeare. "If the stomach speaks, it forget the brain. If the brain speaks, it forgets the heart. If the heart speaks, it forgets everything." Please. Don't be a doormat.
That quote came from actor Rex Ingram, a noted black actor from the classic film, The Thief Of Bagdad. Ingram played the most memorable characters in the film. He played a Djin(or Genie) who is released by Sabu.
I just have to tell you that your knack for quoting movies is crazy cool. It feels like you either quote or reference a movie in almost every post and its awesome! That's all
My life is not like the movies. The movies were a doorway to other worlds that opened up to me when I was little. I had learned a lot from them. But they did not define me, although they are a part of me. But movies are just one thing. I have many other interests like music and writing. I see too many things out there that remind me of something I saw in a movie, or television,or heard in music, or read in books. In all these events, I see where a thought from either or all these sources, would apply.
Yeah I just reread your post and totally bypassed the "seeing a man for 6 months", you already knew what the deal was. Oh well you don't even love the guy, its just lust.... you'll get over it quickly when you sip that brand new kool aid of the month.
Don't be. You are of value to this world. If a man does not recognize that, then he is blind and a fool.
